CEYFC Spartans U-12 vs Hunts Grove Oaks.
A very fast start from the opposition combined with some poor defending we found ourselves 1-0 down within a minute.
Spartans re-grouped well, got the ball under control and quickly became the dominate side, but couldnt convert any of the chances into goals in very blustery, wet conditions.
Second half and it was Spartans who started quickly, equalising within a minute after some neat football and a calm finish.
We continued to be on top and would of been ahead had it not been for the woodwork, some wasteful play and a number of big saves from the Hunts Grove keeper.
The pressure did eventually become too much and Spartans took the lead with a very smart finish.
An unfortunate clash between the Spartans star striker and the opposition goalkeeper meant a re-shuffle was needed and with it came increased possession and territory for Hunts Grove, the pressure told and with 90 seconds left, Hunts Grove equalised.
All in all, 2-2 was a fair result as Spartans remain unbeaten this season after 3 league games.
