Lisburn Distillery Warriors - SEN Football

We had a special visitor for our last night of training before we take our summer break.
Pedro the Royal Mail bear who is visiting groups and schools to promote mental health paid us a visit as he went into goals for a penalty shootout. Even with his size he wasn't the best keeper we have seen. We are happy to stick with Aaron our own keeper who is much better.

Lisburn Distillery Warriors were delighted to take part in the recent Lisburn Fun Run.
A great night for players and parents who took part as the weather for perfect for running.
Our thanks to Beechland Community Group for their excellent hospitality after the run.

This morning we held our annual End of Season Awards at Airtastic Lisburn.

The Junior players had great fun bowling, while the older players played LaserTag. Followed by pizza, chicken and chips for everyone!

❌FANTASTIC END TO A GREAT SEASON❌

Saturday seen our Junior & Intermediate teams play in the last match day of the season.

Juniors were up first, playing 3 matches, winning 2 and losing the 3rd.

The intermediate team played in their cup final, and unfortunately lost against a strong Linfield A side. Again some lovely football played and good team work against a team in the league above us!

MENCAP Heroes Plus is a 6-month youth project for young people with learning difficulties, aged 14 to 24, focused on building confidence, learning new skills, and getting more involved in the community.

We’re looking for young people aged 14-24 in the Lisburn area to join this Heroes Plus cohort.

We had a great night at the Mencap heroes plus!

Lots of exciting things for the young people to do over the 6months including evening trips out, day trips out, 2 night residential, and a graduation event!

Plenty of opportunities to grow their confidence, social skills and employability opening up options for them when they leave school and out in the big world lol.

There is a taster/information session on Thursday 16 April 2026 and the project officially starts a few weeks later.

Congrats to Warriors Coach Jake’s school team who won the BDSSFA U18 shield today!

Jake suffered an injury in his last match and we all wish him a speedy recovery!
