Spotlight On......

Dúthracht thrives because of the people who bring the energy: the ones who ensure that no matter how going up the Quarry Lane feels, there’s a laugh a minute with it.

This week, the spotlight is on a member who brings the giggles each time- let's meet Aimee-Lee.

A Quick Q&A

Why did you start with us?
I joined RíRá to get a bit more active and improve my fitness. Starting from the couch to 1k was the motivator and no pressure as I built up my fitness.

What’s the best part of it for you?
Joining the main Dúthracht group as the miles got more and without a doubt its the people that's the best part 🥰 Everyone is so friendly and supportive and there’s never any pressure. I actually really look forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays now — it’s my me time😊 I’m so pleased with the progress I’ve made over the last couple of months. I never thought I’d enjoy running as much as I do and we laugh all the time🥰

What are your goals?
My big goal is to get myself to the 5K in October! 🏃‍♀️ I’d also love to encourage more people to join and show that you don’t have to be a great runner or super fit to come along. It’s about getting out, giving it a go and enjoying it and the other classes you get a chance to take part in if you want.

Joining Dúthracht has been the best decision I have made for myself this year💜
