Last weekend we headed to City of Oxford Rowing Club on the river Isis for the Saturday regatta. A good entry from the club saw 3 wins from the day with the Open 4+, Open 2- and the W J18 double. This was the last race for the W J18 double as juniors and for the club before they head off to uni in September and a great way to do it with a win🏆. After 3 races in the pair, Mike and Miles secured the medal and got back to get ready to do it all again in the 4+. The Open 4+ secured the win with ease after 3 races and securing the title for the 3rd time. Other entries saw Women’s single, Masters Women single, Women’s pair, Masters Women double and Open Masters single. All had great races and some into finals too. See you next year Oxford!

Last Hants and Dorset regatta hosted by BTC Rowing Club in Southampton on Saturday. A great win for our Open Senior four with a length of clear water after some amazing coxing and great rowing (SWIPE TO SEE THE TROPHY). A good turn out from the club saw 2 Open Novice fours, 2 Junior Women’s fours, 1 Open Senior four, 1 Open Junior pair, 1 Open Senior pair and 1 Open Senior single. All crews ending a year of racing on the coast on a high and giving plenty to build and look forward to into the winter training ahead.

On Sunday 16th August, Mike Joscelyne will be taking on the incredible challenge of rowing a marathon on the erg to raise money for The Centre, Ferndown – a fantastic local community centre. 💙
As it’s also Christchurch Carnival, we’re expecting plenty of people passing by, so we’ll be running a 🏆 1 Minute Erg Challenge 🏆 throughout the day, with prizes for the fastest performances!
It’s a great opportunity to showcase how welcoming Christchurch Rowing Club is, meet new people, and hopefully inspire some future members to give rowing a go.
💙💛💚

Another strong weekend at the second Hants & Dorset regatta of the season 💪🚣‍♂️
A second novice win for the Men’s Novice A crew and the first open crew to secure promotion to Junior this season 🔥
Great racing between the Christchurch crews too, with the C crew just edging out the B crew to make it two Christchurch boats in the final 👏
The Women’s Senior crew, narrowly missed out on the final, a promising race with 3 juniors in the boat!
