It’s been quite a week in the Howard household for so many reasons, and all this leads up to the Feeder only Match at Silverlake…Whose idea was this?Like everywhere else on the planet that is not experiencing floods, Lysander Lake at Silverlake has lost 45 if not 50% of its winter water overcoat...

IS THERE A DENTIST IN THE HOUSE?There is only one thing more annoying than having juniors drop out of events, and that is not being notified that juniors are dropping out of events… Carting a tackle shop of gear to a windswept lake, setting it all up and then packing it all away again without a si...

Now, THIS is what pressure looks like!
U15 World Champs, fishing for your country, 5 minutes to go, massive fish already been on for 30 minutes, must not cross into neighbours peg, must be clear of the water when the final ho**er sounds…
What pressure?

Well done lad!

01/08/26 Points Match/Coaching at Main Lake, Revels —
Read the full post for match highlights, coaching notes and a few laughs. https://wix.to/bFC7239

Before we start the mixture of silliness, moaning, desperation, and occasional fishing, I want to pause to wish our very own tame Wookie the very best of luck with his Angling Trust Level 2 coaching assessment next weekend. Jerry has booked his flights to Godalming, which was the nearest venue to Do...

As I write this blog on Sunday morning, it has just started to rain. It is the light misty rain that feels like your face is being washed by the tears of an angel, or a dribble from a faulty sprinkler system on low pressure. For those too young to remember rain, it is a wet substance that falls natur...

G&DAA, S&HAA and JJAC Open Day,
Lodden Lake, Gillingham
: https://wix.to/fOnJJRM

On a normal day fishing with the JJAC family, anxiety is at a reasonable level because I want everything to go well. On an Open Day like the one at Lodden Lakes yesterday, the anxiety is off the scale!Sleeplessness and stress fatigue are out-weighed by a tidal wave of adrenaline, which is the only t...

We Hosted an Open Day along our co-hosts Gillingham and Sturminster Angling Associations at an immaculate Lodden lake today.
The objective was to open a members only venue up to the public and bring awareness of our new club, JJAC.
If Carlsberg made coaching sessions…they would look like this…
What an amazing day, hard work, so rewarding.
Thank you to all the volunteers from G&DAA and S&HAA, to Todber Manor for a kind donation of bait, also to Sonubaits for pellets and ground bait.
My coaching team of Jerry Bracey, Tim Broughton, Chris Ward and Dave Copp, not forgetting Mike Cullen.
Thank you to everyone involved, particularly Mark Harper for a fantastic day…
