A brilliant performance from the girls tonight in our final friendly as Dunscroft Warriors Blue took on Dunscroft Warriors White! 💙⚽️

The girls played brilliantly from start to finish, showing some fantastic passing throughout the game. It wasn’t just about playing the ball forward either — they showed great awareness to play sideways and backwards when needed, keeping possession well and moving the ball around the pitch.

It was great to see the girls putting into practice what we’ve been working on in training and showing confidence to keep the ball rather than always looking for the forward pass. 👏

Warriors vs Wombwell ⚽️

Following Wednesday night’s win, the girls followed it up with another fantastic victory this morning against Wombwell! 💪⚽️

After falling behind 1–0 early on, the girls didn’t let their heads drop. They found a second gear, pushed on and showed great determination to turn the game around.

There were some fantastic goals, but two in particular deserve a special mention.

Ivy’s free kick 🚀
Ivy stepped up from long range and produced a fantastic free kick to bring us level at 1–1. A brilliant strike that gave the girls the momentum to push on.

A quick reaction from Esme in goal saw her roll the ball out to Phoebe, who picked out a fantastic defence-splitting pass through to Ella. Ella took it in her stride and finished to put us ahead. Exactly the type of move we’ve been working on in training — brilliant to see it come off in a match!

⭐ Parents’ Player — Caitlin

Caitlin was chosen as the Parents’ Player this week. Non-stop running, always working hard and giving everything from start to finish. A thoroughly deserved award! 👏

🧤 Coaches’ Player — Esme

Esme picked up the Coaches’ Player award after another excellent performance in goal. She listened to what we’ve been working on, particularly her fast goal kicks and roll-outs, and made some great saves when called upon.

Another brilliant team performance and another win to build on. The girls showed character, worked hard for each other and never gave up after going behind.

We’re now looking forward to our final friendly, at home against Dunscroft Whites on Monday night! 💙⚽️

The girls faced a very strong Wickersley side in a preseason friendly and put in a fantastic performance, showing just how good this group can be! 💪⚽️

The Warriors created some great chances throughout the game and could even have nicked the win right at the end with a couple of really good opportunities! 🔥

🏆 COACHES’ PLAYER – IVY

What a performance from Ivy! An excellent long-range strike that gave the keeper absolutely no chance! 🚀

She worked tirelessly down the wing and is constantly growing in confidence, showing us more and more of the quality she has on the ball every single week. Keep going Ivy! 👏💙

🏆 PARENTS’ PLAYER – ELLA

Ella showed her quality and unselfishness throughout the game, creating chances for her teammates and working hard right until the end.

Then, with barely any break, she produced a blistering long-distance run right at the end of the game! 🔥 That sums Ella up perfectly — never give up until that final whistle! 👏

This group of girls, on their day, are an absolute joy to watch. With the season just around the corner, we cannot wait to get started in our new league and see how we match up against the teams in the Sheffield League! 💪⚽️

⚽️💙 A BUSY WEEK FOR THE WARRIORS! 💙⚽️

Apologies for being a little quiet on social media this week — football has well and truly come back with a bang, with 3 fixtures in just 7 days! 😅⚽️

We kicked the week off last Tuesday against Rossington, and if we’re being completely honest, it just wasn’t our night. The girls looked sluggish, didn’t really wake up and at times looked disinterested. It happens in football, so we’ve put that one behind us and chalked it down as an off week!

One huge positive from the game was Eva, who was our standout performer. 💙 She never stopped running, despite being up against it for the entire game. Her attitude, effort and determination were fantastic, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way she kept going right until the final whistle. 👏🔥

Saturday saw us face Rossington again, and what a difference! A much-improved performance and much more of a Dunscroft Warriors-style performance. ⚽️💪

The girls showed commitment, bravery and a real desire to win, with some excellent spells of football throughout the game. We saw some great passing and movement, and the girls really started to show the ability we know they have.

Ivy was involved in the goals, picking up an assist and scoring herself. She set up Sophia for a fantastic first-time finish, showing great vision and unselfishness. 👏⚽️

🏆 Coaches Player — The Whole Team 🏆

There was no individual winner for this one because the Coaches Player award went to the whole team! 💙

The effort, commitment and work rate the girls put in from start to finish deserved recognition. After the disappointment of Tuesday, the way they bounced back and showed exactly what they are capable of was brilliant to see. Every single girl played their part, and that team effort was what stood out most. 👏🔥

Then tonight we faced Dunscroft Whites, and the girls continued where they left off, producing another really positive performance with some excellent passing and link-up play. 💙

There was some fantastic football between our wingers, with Ella and Ivy doing a brilliant job of spreading the ball into space and linking up with each other. Ella even turned provider for Ivy for one of her three goals tonight! ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Caitlin also returned from her week away and got herself back on the scoresheet — great to have you back! 👏

🏆 Coaches Player — Ivy 🏆

Tonight’s award goes to Ivy, and what a performance she put in! She’s starting to play with that confidence again and is showing everyone exactly what she’s capable of. A hat-trick, brilliant link-up play, great movement and, importantly, she continued to be selfless on the ball and bring her teammates into the game. 💙⚽️

After a difficult start to the week, the girls have responded exactly how we wanted them to. They’ve shown character, bounced back and finished the week playing some fantastic football.

🌟 Trainer of the Week – Ella! 🌟

A huge well done to Ella, who is this week’s Trainer of the Week! 👏⚽

Ella has been brilliant throughout training tonight. The biggest reason she earned this award is because she listened from start to finish and put everything into the session. You can also tell she’s been working hard at home practising, and it’s really starting to show! 💪

It’s never been in question that Ella has fantastic technical ability with a ball at her feet. Tonight, she matched that ability with great focus and determination. Ella can sometimes get distracted during training, but this evening she was locked in from start to finish and absolutely smashed it, showing exactly what she’s capable of. Tonight she’s been a great example to all the other girls on how to train.

Keep bringing that attitude every week, Ella, because the sky’s the limit! 🌟

🏆 OUR FIRST TROPHY! 🏆💙

What a day for our girls! 💪

Six games played, including the final, and an incredible performance from everyone involved. We only suffered one defeat all day before battling our way to the final, where the girls held their nerve to win on penalties! ⚽🥇

Every single player played their part. The teamwork, determination, effort and togetherness on show throughout the tournament were fantastic, and it’s brilliant to see all of the hard work in training paying off.

To top it all off, the girls have brought home the first piece of silverware in Dunscroft Warriors’ history! A massive achievement that they should all be incredibly proud of. 💙

💙💛 Pre-Season Friendly | Dunscroft Warriors U10 Girls 💛💙

A really positive first game back for the girls today against Tickhill! 👏⚽

After missing training this week due to illness, the girls went straight back into action and put in a brilliant performance. It was a very competitive game with plenty of battling, determination and effort from start to finish. We don’t feel we deserved to lose, but an unfortunate accidental handball led to a penalty which proved to be the difference.

Every single player kept going until the final whistle and the coaches couldn’t be prouder of the commitment and fight they showed. 💪

A fantastic performance! Ivy kept beating her defender, delivered some great balls into the box and came so close to getting herself on the scoresheet. Well deserved! 👏

⭐ Parents’ Player – Phoebe
Phoebe battled brilliantly throughout the game, stayed composed, put in some huge tackles and even played through an injury. A real warrior today! 💙💛

This award couldn’t have gone to a more deserving player.

Eva has shown all season exactly what it means to be a warrior. Her fight, aggression and determination every time she steps onto the pitch have been outstanding. She never backs out of a challenge, shows incredible bravery, and gives absolutely everything for the team from the first whistle to the last.

On top of that, she’s continuing to develop her technical ability every single week, and it’s been brilliant to watch her grow as a player. But it’s her strength, courage and never give up attitude that really set her apart.

We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved this season, Eva. Keep working hard, keep battling, and keep being you.

Chosen by the people who watch every game from the sidelines, this award means so much because it’s voted for by all of our parents.

From the very first whistle to the last, she gives absolutely everything. Her competitiveness, composure and overall football ability are second to none. The way she reads the game is incredible, always seeming to be one step ahead, making the right decision at the right time.

She could quite easily have walked away with a number of awards this season, but to be recognised by every parent speaks volumes about the player she is and the impact she has on the team.

What’s even more impressive is that she’s achieved all of this while playing a year above her age group. That takes confidence, determination and real quality.
