Are you really doing what you love or what you loathe?

“ Conversations that matter “
This week we had another fantastic meet up.
Early morning walk and talk.
Saunas & Ice Baths.
After breakfast we had three fantastic speakers sharing years of wisdom and knowledge in life and business after breakfast.
Brian Fisher - spoke about building businesses in New York in bars and restaurants, and the challenges that came with that.
He shared how they’ve built a strong culture in their finance and insurance business in Nashville, even though everyone is remote and based in different parts of the world.
Ryan Tierney - shared his journey in a family business, his early insights into personal development from his parents, and how Lean culture became the shift from chaos to order for him inside their companies.
He spoke about how Lean, made simple, has transformed how they operate across all their businesses.
Sam Shepard- shared his fantastic insights into the mentality needed to be a Marine, and the principles learned on the battlefield in Afghanistan that still serve him in business today.
Sam runs the fast-growing company Juice Jar, and he spoke about the inspiration and challenges every business owner faces when scaling.
Here’s what these meet ups are all about for me..
A space for business owners to come and connect with other likeminded people who think on the same wavelength.
Business can be a lonely spot, but we’ve solved that for men who want to continue to expand and grow.
If that’s you, drop me a message.✅
New levels = New Devils.
A big mistake or misconception business owners or anyone in general makes is this..
Have a listen let me know your thoughts below. ⬇️
An 87 year old inspired me with his work ethic yesterday.
A man that’s clearly aligned with his purpose.
So many business owners lose what he’s kept intact.

Rua started driving lessons this week..
. it feels like I was just taking the stabilisers off her bike.
Building a business and a family at the same time can be challenging.
You get pulled from pillar to post with what you think you should be doing, where you think you should be dedicating time.
And there's a genuine fear you might miss out.
She used to run around the gym floor after me, copying my every move.
Now she's got a boyfriend and she's off being her own wee person.
That's a challenge for a father.
There's a letting go process in it.
Almost every man in business I coach is doing the same thing I am..
. building the vision and the business, while juggling building a family too.
We have three kids, one a grown man now, two teenagers.
I know what it's like.
But here's something worth holding on to..
Your kids learn from who you are through what you do, not what you say.
The discipline and dedication it takes to build a business, they see that.
They experience it.
And they learn something else too..
. if you want a life built on your own terms, it takes dedication, discipline and great habits.
Whats one thing your kids are watching you do right now that you feel proud of?
Self confidence and self worth grows when you understand this..
What’s the first thing you can do if you feel stuck??

“I feel it in my gut even mentioning it to you.”
A client said that to me last week…
.working through something that’s been sitting in him a long time.
Business trouble years back.
Trusted the wrong person.
Watched things collapse around him.
He’s built plenty since then..
. but that feeling never actually left.
It just got buried.
We worked through it on the call.
Slowly, the gut feeling softened.
By the end he wasn’t talking about betrayal anymore..
. he was talking about how that exact event changed the whole trajectory of his business and life for the better.
Same event.
Completely different meaning.
It just took the right questions to see it properly.
Have you something similar still running the show?

I stopped using whoop about a year ago here’s why.
First of all I really like whoop it’s a fantastic tool.
My clients still use it and I still recommend it.
I stopped using it because..
I’ve tracked my sleep for years.
I know the habits that tank my sleep, HRV and overall recovery and performance.
I listened to myself and my body more.
I’d have a great sleep and then whoop either told me it was s**t or it didn’t bloody record it, and I’d get annoyed as I started my day 😂
Some nights it woke me up with the green light that resembled a light saber at 3am in a dark room 😳
Here’s one other big reason.
I’ve been monitoring and tracking so many different things for years in health and fitness.
For years every single morsel of food was weighed and measured before I ate it.
So for the last year I’ve stopped tracking those types of metrics.
I still sleep well.
I rise around the same time, 24/7/365.
I don’t need to charge myself up when I wake ..
. I’m up and moving with energy daily.
These habits have been consistent regardless of what I’m tracking.
Do I still recommend whoop and other wearables?
Of course especially beginning new habit changes..
. they’re fantastic to help you see the behaviours that impact you most.
I may use it again soon but for now it’s all good.
