What a start to the season Reeva is having, last week player of the game, this week opposition player of the game.

Once again she gave a dominant performance in the midfield, tackled everything, carried the ball so well, passed at the right moments and loves a header!

To top that off she also went on and scored a hattrick, with some clinical finishing.

What a performance. Well done Reeva, keep going!

✨Grace✨

Our youngest player, playing up a year, who holds her own. Grace is someone who every coach loves to have in their squad. Happy all the time, with an infectious smile, who absolutely loves football and has a game face that matches the intensity she brings each week. Grace has worked so hard in training and matches and today was the pay off.

Leading the line up front she pressed and worked hard to win the ball, gambled around the box and got her first ever hat-trick.

A natural poacher and will get a bag full of goals this season I am sure. Well done Grace, keep it up!

⚽️Div 3 League Game - Match day 2🖤🤍

✨Dereham Magpies 7 - Martham 1 ✨

Another milestone for the team as they get their first ever back to back wins in the league.

The girls once again put in an incredible performance on their first home game of the season. It was a very windy day on a pitch that hasn't fared well over the summer.

The first half started back and forth between both teams with chances at both ends.

Grace got the first goal of the game and that seemed to start a great 20 minutes for the team.

Grace got her second shortly after and Reeva the third with a great long range effort.

The fourth goal was a superb team goal. Starting in the defence with Jessica, who played it down the wing to Nilah, who passed it to Leah, who cut in and passed across the edge of the box to Reeva, who flicked it through to Grace to claim her hat-trick!

Reeva finished the half with her second. 5-1 at half time.

The second half, once again started back and forth. Eliza was tested many times in goal and she pulled off some great saves. The defence had to work really hard to keep a pressing Martham from scoring.

The 6th goal came from what is becoming a trademark cross shot by Nilah, that's the 3rd time she’s crossed in to hit the back of the net.

Reeva wrapped up the goals with her well deserved hat-trick.

Well done again girls, keep working hard displaying excellent team work.

Opposition Player of the game

✨Nilah✨

For the second week running, our superstar winger Nilah was picked for player of the game and we certainly can see why. The amount of work she puts in for her team is incredible.

First half she helped out the defence with tracking back and recovering tackles. In the second half she then showed her attacking skill with two great goals, her crossing was also brilliant. Definitely something we are going to work on in training, because following those crosses into the box is going to create lots of opportunities for others!

Player of the game

✨Reeva✨

Reeva joined us at the end of last season as we prepared for the jump to 9-a-side and wow - what an incredible player. Not only has she slotted into the team perfectly but it has felt like she has been with us since the start.

Reeva is fast becoming the all round midfielder; reads the game so well, always looking to link up with others and has an eye for goal. All of that was on display yesterday and we were particularly impressed with her willingness to header the ball (even from a keepers kick from hands).

Well done Reeva!

⚽️ Div 3 League game - Matchday 1

✨Dereham Magpies 10 - Acle 0 ✨

What a start to the season by the Magpies!

Yesterday we travelled to Acle for the first game of the season and the girls came flying out the blocks. For the first time in a very long time, the whole squad was available for the game and it was great to have all the girls together for the opening fixture.

All the hard work they have put into pre-season, could be seen on display today. Great shape with positional awareness and hard pressing to win the ball back.

Ellie-Mai started the scoring yesterday with a goal at the 5 minute mark, with Leah scoring two minutes later with an excellent finish. Reeva got the 3rd just before the half time whistle!

At half-time our captain Evelyn asked if she could give the team-talk and it certainly had an impact. The girls come out of the second half really fast with Nilah scoring two goals in 2 minutes, the first being a shot/cross from the edge of the box!

Rosie then scored with a long range looping effort, Grace was next to score with a tidy strikers finish and her trademark fierce celebration! Ellie-mai got her double with an amazing long range effort into the bottom corner!

Leah who had picked up an injury in the first half, came back on and got her hat-trick with the final two goals of the game!

Well done Girls, an excellent performance.

Opposition Player of the Match

✨Nilah ✨

Ok, so we can talk about one of the players today! Nilah said to me before the game, that her Dad predicted she would score today but she didnt believe him. Well I think her Dad should let me know these predictions in the future so I can pick the team around it. Is she going to score next week?

Nilah was untouchable today, she scored the first goal and then assisted the next 3 all in the first half. Playing on the right wing, her pace and crossing ability was exceptional.

Well done Nilah, keep that confidence up, you will be any fullback’s worst nightmare!

This is only our 3rd ever win as a team. Win or lose the girls always try their hardest and never put their heads down.

They have turned up to training and matches each week and learnt how to play this game we all love. Today was one of those games where it was a bit special and impossible for us to pick just one player as it would be unfair on all the others, it was 10/10 performances all over the pitch.

They have shown us now the standard they can play at, challenge is to keep that going!
