BETTESHANGER DREW 2-2 WITH WINGHAM IN THE FIRST LEG OF THEIR CANTERBURY & DISTRICT LEAGUE CUP TIE ON SATURDAY:

2-2 today against Wingham. An early Jared Lawrence penalty got us off to a good start. Damion Card then scored a fantastic lob to make it 2-0. However we hadn’t played at all well and were probably lucky to be in that position. Both teams ended the first half with 10 men as it finished 2-0.

We never got going second half and were very poor throughout. Wingham pulled one back before we had another player sent off and then with 4 minutes left we were down to 8 players due to a sin bin. But the ref added 5 minutes on and with seconds remaining Wingham equalised

The worst performance of the season from us however, we have a second leg leg in two weeks to rectify that.

DEAL TOWN AND ASHFORD UNITED DREW 2-2 IN THEIR LEAGUE GAME AT THE CHARLES GROUND ON TUESDAY. DEAL'S MOTM, JAMIE KENNEDY, GAVE THE HOOPS AN EARLY LEAD BUT ASHFORD HIT BACK WITH TWO GOALS BEFORE HALF-TIME. DEAL HOWEVER EARNED THEMSELVES A DESERVED POINT WITH A SECOND HALF GOAL FROM JACOB STROUTS. THE TWO SIDES WILL MEET AGAIN AT ASHFORD THIS COMING SATURDAY IN THE FA TROPHY.
