BAM - Leigh UTC

A tremendous team effort.....
Alan Newland, Games Gray, Peter Cuthbert and Matt Pamflett were awarded the BAM South East Construction Gold Safety award for site health and safety (for projects under £15m) by regional director Stuart Robinson.

Leigh UTC is topped out !
Alan Newland together with the principal designate Stephen Leahey and Leigh Academy Trust's CEO Simon Beamish performed a traditional 'topping out' ceremony to mark the completion of the roofs and hitting the mile stone target payment. A number of the new staff and students also attended and were all impressed with the facility so far, looking forward to starting in September.

Leigh UTC managers and operatives in community spirit creating raised planters at Longfield Academy's SEN garden, part of Leigh Academy Trust. Teachers and pupils alike really appreciated the hard work and generosity that BAM have given them. Hopefully field trips can be made to the new Leigh UTC by the existing and future construction students.

A little help goes a long way......Carpenter's from Leigh UTC's site help rebuild Dartford Primary Schools 'bottle greenhouse' after severe winds shattered dreams. We were touched that so many of the pupils wrote letters of thanks for regenerating their gardening project.

Team building - some of the site team thought that they would catch their dinner. Sadly the pouting, eals, crabs were all too small, better luck next time. Stick to building your better at that.......
