The anvil of betterment is the cost to shape a life. Every strike bends, shapes and sharpens. Steel is tooled and hardened by the hammer. Shabrack Meshach and Abednego went through the furnace as slaves. Can you imagine how their slave masters would fear them, the power of those who could not be killed. Paul's shipwreck and beating is a down payment for the manifesting power of kingdom breakthrough. Joseph went from prison to being the master of Egypt. From the cross to resurrection to all of us who follow him (Jesus). Cost is more than we think.

Count it joy when you suffer … betterment is on its way. Romans 5: 3

Looking for the lost sheep

Identity is a big deal in today's world. Many angry people feel their identity is being taken from them. Not allowed to be and think for ourselves. This has not escaped the church. When the Saints (you) fail to know who they are, other believers will come and offend you, belittle or redirect, bringing unstable words that play on your insecurities. Doubt starts to enter your mind, you no longer feel sure, and you start to wobble. Word comes into your life from the back of your head, “Who do I think I am?” “Why would God use me?” This is the strategy of the enemy. The greatest threat to the devil is that we might believe what God says about us, and that we would hold Father's truth so tight, no man, beast or angel can take it from us.

We are witnesses to the salvation and the Gospel of Jesus. God sent us out to be witnesses. But we weren’t there when Jesus died on the cross; we didn’t see the resurrection. We can only share what God has done in our story. The resurrection and power of the Gospel are manifest in our story. So the biggest asset in our lives is our story. We have struggles and battles, breakthroughs and victories. All of which shapes and makes our stories. Our walk in Jesus and the Holy Spirit comes with revelation, which builds our story. We can say God is faithful and just because look what he's done for me in my life (my story).

This one thing you have, many will come and try to take away your story. Devalue you, disqualify you. The Pharisee tried to take Jesus story away, but Jesus knew who he was. So don't give away your story! Don't let anyone devalue your story. Esau, in the Bible, sold his identity for stew. Christians have given themselves away for a lot less.

You may feel irrelevant, but Jesus came to make you children of God. Jesus calls you friends. Today God is raising up Dead saints, calling those who feel they have no contribution. Today is the day of salvation, a day to step into destiny, a day to discover your identity and your purpose that is waiting.

You are Christ's body; every body function benefits the whole body. We cannot write a new story. Paul said. 1 Cor 12:15 Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.

Stand in who you are
Stand in what God says directly to you.
Stand like Nehemiah, do not come down off the wall, continue in battle.
Be led, be you, be your story.
The whole body needs you to be you.
