It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that the Carbrain 2013s Sky Blues have folded. After taking a few days to reflect, this has been an incredibly difficult decision for everyone involved.

Firstly, we want to thank all of the parents who put their trust in us to keep the team going when things were at their lowest. We gave it everything we had, but unfortunately it just wasn’t meant to be. A number of challenges over recent months — including player departures and circumstances outwith our control — have led us to this point.

To the boys — every single one of you has been a pleasure to coach. Many of you we’ve had the privilege of working with since your primary school days, watching you grow not just as footballers, but as young people. You’ve created memories that will stay with us forever, and we are incredibly proud of each of you. We wish you all the very best in your football journeys and hope to see you all doing well in the future ⚽

To the coaching team, past and present — thank you for your dedication, time, and hard work behind the scenes. From organising training and matches to sorting kits and everything in between, your efforts never went unnoticed.

This is not how we wanted the journey to end, but it has truly been an honour to be part of it.
Wishing every player and family all the very best for the future.

Sky Blues 2013’s vs Stirling Albion
Result: 0–3

It was a tough one for the boys on Saturday against a strong Stirling Albion side. We were hopeful of getting something from the game, but it just didn’t fall our way this time.

The most important thing now is that we remain positive.

Football is all about learning and developing, and setbacks are part of that journey.

Let’s continue to support the boys positively from the sidelines and help them enjoy every moment of their football. These years go by quickly, so let’s make them count.

Lenzie 7 Vs Carbrain Sky Blues 1

A tough one for us today. It wasn’t our best performance and at times we looked hesitant to tackle and take control of the ball, which made it difficult to get into the game the way we normally would.

That said, when the boys settled and played our style of football, there were some really positive moments. We moved the ball well in spells and showed what we’re capable of when we’re brave and composed. That’s the standard we’ll keep pushing towards.

We’ll continue to work hard in training, especially with the extra time we now have on Tuesdays, focusing on fitness, confidence in possession and being stronger in our challenges. These games are part of the learning process, and the boys will bounce back 💪🩵

Today’s joint Man of the Match awards go to Kayden and Talha for their work rate and tenacity from start to finish. They kept going right to the final whistle and showed great attitude throughout 👏⚽️

The boys are back in action tomorrow morning as we travel to Lenzie for our C Divisional Cup fixture 💪

After a great result last week, confidence is high and the team are ready to give it everything again. Training has been sharp, attitudes have been brilliant, and the squad are buzzing to get back on the pitch.

It’s always a tough game against Lenzie, but the boys are determined to keep the momentum going and put in another strong performance.

We play in the Central League C Division, and as a team we focus on development, confidence, teamwork, and most importantly — enjoying football. Whether your child is looking for a fresh start, more game time, or a positive team environment, we’d love to hear from you.

💙⚽ Match Result – Divisional Cup ⚽💙

Carbrain Sky Blues 3 – 3 Central Boys
(Win on penalties 5–4)

A great result for the boys yesterday, and for once a bit of luck was on our side! It was a fantastic first-half performance, with the team fully deserving to go in 2–0 up at half time.

Central came back into it in the second half, but massive credit to our players — they showed real character, kept fighting until the end, and grabbed the goal to take the game to penalties.

Huge praise to the boys who stepped up and confidently scored their penalties under pressure. And of course, Mr Safe Hands himself, Daryl, pulled off a brilliant save to secure the extra point for the team 👏🧤

Seeing the boys leave with smiles on their faces is exactly what makes all the hard work worthwhile for us as coaches.

⭐ Man of the Match goes to Dylan Little for his goal and tireless work rate from start to finish — well done!

Carbrain Sky Blues 2–6 Braehead

A good competitive game tonight against a strong Braehead side, played in the right spirit of grassroots football.

We went in 2–1 down at half-time after a closely fought first half, with some excellent build-up play throughout. Patryk was unlucky not to add to the score after a great team move. For a first game back, the boys moved the ball well, showed great teamwork and worked tirelessly from start to finish.

As coaches, we were really pleased with the overall performance and attitude of the squad. Credit to Braehead, who took their chances well and competed hard for the full game.

Two well-taken goals for us from Henry and Charlie, and it was great to receive positive feedback from the referee on our style of play and the polite, respectful behaviour shown by all the players 👏🏻
