Thanks to Glasgow High/Kelvinside for coming up to play at Laggan Park today. A strong league cricket side with a great attitude towards playing a friendly match in a beautiful setting. To strong for us but they gave our youngsters a chance to see cricket played at a high standard with some big hitting and very rapid bowling. They also brought a lovely tea so are always welcome back๐

Our first game lost to the weather this season, not cricket playing weather! Torrance will be back at the end of the month for the re-run. Senior nets and juniors will hopefully go-ahead on Wednesday 5-7:30pm.

Fingers crossed for the weather on Sunday!

๐ NEW Junior Cricket Club coming to Crieff!
We're excited to announce the launch of a brand-new junior section for Comrie Cricket Club, and it all kicks off on Wednesday 29th April.
Held every Wednesday at Dallerie Playing Fields, Crieff, this is a fantastic new opportunity for young cricketers in the area to learn the game, develop their skills, and be part of a welcoming local club.
Led by Comrie Cricket Club, with coaching from Live Active Leisure and facilities provided by Academy, the new Comrie CC junior section gives young people across the local area the chance to pick up a bat, grow in confidence, and enjoy everything cricket has to offer.

Comrie CC recently won League B of the Live Active indoor 6-a-side cricket competition held at Bertha Park over the months of December and January. Wins against Doune & Dunblane and GlenAlmond school saw Comrie taking the top spot on their first attempt. Congratulations to all involved.

I think it would be fair to say the 4th annual Charlie Gibbons tournament at the Laggan Park was a great success today. Despite a wee bit of drizzle early on, proceedings were enlivened by a touring team from Wolverhampton who, whilst somewhat lubricated from the off, very much appreciated the grandeur of their surroundings. They kept the tempo of the afternoon high all day(despite a mid-afternoon mass snooze on their part๐). Team Skye (present on the the day as the last of the team labs), took the title for the first time, congrats to Captain Dave Dowse and team for a great batting performance in the final.
Too many highlights, a man batting in a kilt, incredible diving fielding, huge sixes and general merriment. Special thanks to the travellers up from Dollar, Torrance (the wandering gypsys), Doune and Gargunnock. Looking forward to next year ๐
