⚽ Futsal Fridays ⚽

What a game! After a training session earlier tonight, the team were straight back into action against a really technically strong side.

We found ourselves a few goals down early on, but if there’s one thing this group loves, it’s a comeback! The second ten minutes were some of our strongest as a team, with everyone stepping up and putting in brilliant performances. 💪

Some unbelievable saves from Lucas kept us in the game, while he was also fantastic at organising and communicating with his defenders. Thanks to some incredible persistence from Thomas and great selflessness from Finley in front of goal, we fought our way back into the game.

There was a huge impact from the bench too, with Olly getting stuck in with some big tackles and setting up Thomas, while Alex scored an absolute banger! 💥

The second half was incredibly competitive, with both sides giving everything. Zack was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, with some great efforts bringing excellent saves from the opposition keeper. April and Reed were brilliant at pressing from the back, intercepting the ball and creating opportunities, with both getting some great shots away.

We were unfortunate to concede a few goals in the second half, but full credit to the opposition for an excellent performance. Most importantly, we cannot fault the commitment, determination and teamwork shown by the entire squad tonight.

A performance we can be really proud of and, more importantly, one we can build on! 👏

More tackles, blocks and interceptions than we’ve ever seen from Olly! He stepped up whenever his teammates were under pressure and was quick to move the ball forward to create chances. He dealt brilliantly with some difficult 1v1 situations, slowing the attacker down and making the tackle at the right moment. Keep it up, Ol!

🐾⚽ PANTHERS MATCH REPORT ⚽🐾

It was an early morning for the Panthers as they travelled up to Amble on Sunday, and they got off to a flying start thanks to a fantastic first-time finish from Heidi! 🙌

The Panthers played some brilliant football in the first half, with some excellent build-up play and crisp first-time passing. We were unlucky not to add another goal before the opposition found an equaliser just before the break.

The second half proved more challenging, with the opposition putting the Panthers under plenty of pressure and adding a few goals of their own. But the Panthers kept battling and found their rhythm again in the final ten minutes, creating some excellent chances and getting a deserved goal through Chloe! 👏

Lots of positives to take from the game, and plenty to build on. Keep working hard, Panthers! 💪

Heidi really stood out on Sunday, not only for her fantastic finish, but also for her excellent work rate and calmness on the ball. She’s made massive improvements in recent weeks and is really working hard to achieve her targets on the pitch. Heidi did a brilliant job of spreading the ball from the middle of the pitch and helping to start attacks for her team. A fantastic all-round performance, Heidi — well deserved!

🐆⚽ LEOPARDS MATCH REPORT ⚽🐆

Yesterday the Leopards played their second league game of the season in a brilliant, competitive match! 🔥

Starting out with a new formation and with several players in new positions, the team did a fantastic job of putting their targets into practice.

In goal Eddie was focusing on great communication and worked hard to offer passing options. Reed, Thomas and Zack covered every blade of grass at wing back, growing in confidence throughout the game and pushing forward to deliver crosses and create chances.

Charlie and Jack showed real courage at centre back, making some excellent last-ditch challenges and starting counter-attacks with great passes out wide. In centre mid Isaac and Jamie worked tirelessly, getting on the ball and making important interceptions.

Our forwards Olly, Oliver, Jack and Jamie pressed brilliantly from the start and made some great forward runs when our wing backs had the ball.

To see the team putting their targets into action straight away was fantastic! Brilliant effort, Leopards - bring on next week! ⚽💪

🐾⚽ PANTHERS | MATCH REPORT ⚽🐾

After a challenging start to the season, the Panthers really found their rhythm on Sunday! 🔥

Continuing to develop in their new formation, the Panthers found themselves a goal down early on. However, they showed great character, grew into the game and turned things around to go into half-time in front.

The second half saw the Panthers really put their stamp on the match. There was fantastic composure at the back, brilliant work rate throughout midfield and confident finishing up top. 👏

What was particularly pleasing was the way the team stuck to their playing style. Every goal had an assist, with some of our best chances and finishes coming after patient build-up play and some excellent passing combinations. ⚽️🅰️

A fantastic performance and a well-deserved result for the Panthers, who are starting to see the rewards of all their hard work, determination and commitment. 🐾

Showing great bravery coming off his line, Eddie made some excellent blocks and saves. It was also great to hear him taking charge on the pitch, organising his defence and giving instructions.

Coaches’ - Reed 👏
Reed is bringing the energy and determination into midfield that we’re looking for. He was everywhere closing down the opposition and driving with the ball to create chances, completing his performance with an assist.

🐆⚽ LEOPARDS | FIRST LEAGUE MATCH OF THE SEASON! ⚽🐆

The Leopards got their U10 league season underway this afternoon against some quality opposition, and it was a fantastic test of fitness, resilience and concentration!

There were plenty of positives to take from the game, with the team working incredibly hard to win possession and showing some great teamwork to create opportunities. The determination shown in those recovery runs on a big pitch was brilliant to see and will really help the Leopards build their fitness as the season progresses. 👏

A huge effort from the whole team, with plenty to be proud of and lots to build on. We go again next week! 🙌

⚽ Futsal Fridays ⚽

The futsal team got off to a flying start in the Winter League last night with a fantastic performance!

From the very first whistle, the team were really up for it. Olly and Thomas pressed high from defence, while Zack and Alex worked tirelessly to win the ball back and create chances for their teammates.

At the other end of the pitch, the whole team worked incredibly hard to prevent the opposition from building attacks. April made some excellent recovery runs and shoutout to Reed for an incredible block in the second half! Lucas made some fantastic saves early on to keep the team in control. Unfortunately, an injury forced Lucas out of the game, but Zack and Thomas stepped up in goal and did a brilliant job of maintaining the clean sheet. That’s exactly the kind of team spirit we’re looking for! Wishing Lucas a speedy recovery. 💪

We also took the opportunity to rotate positions, giving everyone the chance to experience different roles on the pitch. It was brilliant to see April, Reed and Olly pushing further forward, with Finley getting the chance to play in defence, making some key interceptions and starting attacks from the back!

There were some excellent goals throughout the game, but the pick of the bunch has to be the final goal! Thomas played the ball forward from goal into Alex, who brought it down on his chest before an unbelievable volley into the back of the net. What a way to finish! 💥

The team also got the opportunity to collect their runners-up medals from the Spring League, which shows just how far they’ve come and is a true testament to their hard work! Well done everyone! 🏅
