A huge thank you to all the kind comments about Musty and those clients, past and present who sent me photos of her at work and were happy for me to share these with her owner, Bronwyn. I made them all into a photo diary of Musty's semi retirement with us and popped them into a photobook. I met with Bronwyn today and she was thrilled to bits with it. She is obviously very sad Musty is no longer with us but hugely proud and pleased that she was such a positive part of so many people's journey. Thank you x

Mustang Sally (Musty) 1998 - 2026
With great sadness I'm sorry to say that we lost little Musty yesterday. She has been on loan to Hooves in Harmony for the last 4 years where she has enjoyed a varied semi-retirement. Unfortunately over the last few months she has had a lot of issues with her feet due to underlying metabolic issues and although these appeared to have been under control and she was enjoying life to the full, she deteriorated badly overnight.
Musty leaves a huge hole in our hearts but lots of lovely memories. She won Napton Show's Young Handler class 2 years ago with a client and received a shield nearly as big as her head. Musty loved small people and they loved her, she was regularly painted, featured on Pet of the Week walls in various clients schools and was once brought a lunchbox complete with an ice block, a carrot, an apple and a piece of kitchen towel with which to wipe her mouth!
I know many will be sad to hear this but it would be lovely to share some of your memories of her on here. A huge thanks needs to go to her owner, Bronwyn who was happy for me to take on the care of Musty and allow her great work with so many of you at Hooves in Harmony.
A busy day today with a morning of team building with a small group of Year 6's from a school in Coventry followed by our end of term fun session and presentation event for our Personal Development with Horses group from Avon Valley School. A few adaptations to original plans to accommodate the heat but a good time had by all and lots of certificates given out for all their hard work including the highly acclaimed Hooves in Harmony Golden Shovel Award for services to poo picking!!!

Wishing all our clients a very happy Christmas and a successful 2026.
Calendars have arrived and I'm really pleased with them. Can those that have requested them either pay by BACS (Msg me for details) or bring £10 to the yard. If need be I will do another print run but have 30 of which approx 20 should already be accounted for. Thanks in anticipation. Any issues just let me know

Over the last few weeks we've been running a competition to find photos for our 2026 calendar. There were lots of great entries and after a lot of deliberation our judging panel chose Georgie as our winner. Georgie attends the Horse Care course as part of Coventry Alternative Provision and submitted a lovely photo of Dougal below. They felt that the image really stood out in the black and white and was quite atmospheric. Georgie wins her own copy of the calendar which also features many of the other horses and ponies that work for Hooves in Harmony. All the photos were taken by clients both past and present. If anyone would like to purchase a copy (they make great Christmas presents), please can you let me know this week. Calendars are £10 each and I am happy to post if need be for the cost of postage or arrange collection from Bubbenhall Bridge. Please note if you need them posting, I can't guarantee they will be with you before Christmas but will do my best. The cost includes a £1 donation which is going towards spares of wet weather gear (waterproof trousers etc) and grooming equipment for our clients to use with the horses.
All runners up to receive a small prize. Their photos can also be seen below. Well done Georgie!
Competition time! Open to all past and current clients. We are planning on making a Hooves in Harmony 2026 calendar and are looking for 12 photographs to include in it. These can be of the horses or anything that catches your attention around the site. Please do not send images in which people are clearly identifiable as I am unable to accept them. 1 entry per person. To take part please email your photo to [email protected] and include a line as to why you have chosen it. Entries close 30th November to allow printing time before Christmas. These will then be available to purchase.
The road is currently closed for bridge repairs for the next few weeks. Please allow a little extra time to get to your session as you will need to come down the lane from the Baginton end. There are signs at the top of the road to say it's closed but you can get down the hill to the yard.

Doogie enjoyed a good scratch from my last client of the day today. His only complaint was it didn't last long enough!!
