Another incredible game for our ladies today as they welcomed a very good Hawarden Park Girls and Ladies FC side to DL. 👏⚽️

The girls are coming on in leaps and bounds, who would have thought that just 8 weeks ago we had only 3 players!

The progress these ladies have made in such a short space of time has been incredible to watch. 💪

You girls are an absolute credit to the club. 🟣❤️

This Saturday, the lads travel to MIFC for the first-ever meeting between the two clubs. 👊

The Cei lads have started slowly this campaign, but positivity is on the rise as we look to build on last weekend’s hard-fought 4-4 draw away at Holywell.

The boys will be looking to take that momentum into Saturday and come away with another positive result. 💜

Vets update*

After a successful pre-season, the first game of the season probably came a little too early for the lads, with multiple players unavailable, including our goalkeeper! 😅

A tough test away at Conwy awaited, but the lads who travelled stepped up and put in a proper shift.

With Stuart Barry stepping in between the sticks and Luke Williams finding the net, the Dockers secured a massive point on the road! 👏🟣⚪️

Not the easiest circumstances, but a great result to get the season underway.

After back-to-back defeats, the Cei lads knew they needed to get points on the table — but they also knew it would be a tough ask against a high-flying Holywell side.

Holywell raced into a 2-0 lead, but the Dockers showed great character to fight their way back into the game. Goals from Luke Norry and Luke Williams sponsored by VTM Versatile Telephone Marketing Ltd saw us head into the break level at 2-2. 🟣⚪️

The second half saw the Cei lads come out with a point to prove, scoring twice more to make it 2-4.

A calm penalty from Luke Williams put us ahead, before Ollie Jones Jason Rodric Personal Training grabbed his second goal in as many games to give the Dockers a two-goal cushion. ⚽️

But the game wasn’t over…

Holywell found two late goals in the 90+ minutes to bring the score back to 4-4. 😩

Absolutely gutting to concede so late, but there are huge positives to take from this performance. To come back from 2-0 down against a high-flying side and take the game to them shows exactly what these lads are capable of.

It’s a step in the right direction. 🟣
