Chilton Juniors vs Hetton Inter

Another fantastic morning for the lads and another win on the board to make it 2 from 2. 👏

We started the game really brightly and got ourselves in front through George, who went on a brilliant solo run down the left before calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner.

George then scoree again with a fantastic finish before completing his hat-trick in some style, looping the ball over the keeper and into the top corner for. Some start from him. 🎩🔥

Hetton pulled one back but the lads responded straight away. Teddy stepped up over a free-kick and absolutely rifled it into the back of the net.

Matthew then got in on the act with a fantastic cross-shot which flew into the side netting 🚀

Hetton grabbed another, but we kept pushing and Finlee made scored with a great low finish into the keeper’s right-hand corner.

After Hetton grabbed another we finished the scoring with probably the best team goal of the game. Great football from back to front before Finlee finished it off brilliantly and round off a fantastic performance.

Really pleasing to see the lads playing some lovely football, working hard for each other and continuing to look dangerous going forward.

Plenty still to work on, but you can’t ask for much more than 2 wins from 2. 💙

⚽️👏 A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CAPTAIN & STRIKER, FINLEE! 👏⚽️

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Finlee has been selected for the Chilton Academy football team! 🏆⚽️

Even more impressive, Finlee is only in Year 4 and will be playing alongside boys in Years 5 and 6! 💪🔥

The school league starts next week, with Chilton Academy taking on other schools from around the area.

⚽️ CHILTON JUNIORS U9s – MATCH REPORT ⚽️

Today saw our Chilton U9s play their first game of the season and their first official game at Under 9s level.

After finishing runners-up in Division 3 of the Spring Cup last season and earning promotion into Division 2, which is classed as a high-level division, we knew this season was going to be difficult, tough and physical.

Today’s opponents, Sunderland West End, are no strangers to us. We played them last season in what was an extremely even game, finishing in a 2–2 draw, so we knew we were in for another tough test.

The game kicked off with both teams evenly matched during the opening five minutes. The breakthrough came when Chilton were awarded a penalty after a rash challenge inside the box. Finlee stepped up and made no mistake, calmly slotting the ball home to give Chilton the lead.

The game then became a lot more physical, with plenty of fouls coming Chilton’s way. Despite that, the lads continued to look the more threatening side and eventually found themselves two goals to the good. After a mix-up in the West End defence, Teddy pounced and showed great composure to finish past the keeper.

West End managed to pull one back with some good play, but Chilton looked organised and disciplined, making it difficult for the visitors to get into any real rhythm.

Chilton were then awarded a second penalty, and once again Finlee made absolutely no mistake, restoring the two-goal cushion.

As the game entered its final stages, the lads showed great game management, kept possession and controlled the game brilliantly. Finlee then capped off a fantastic performance by holding off two players before finishing underneath the keeper to complete his hat-trick.

👏 A fantastic start to the season for the lads!

Considering we’ve had a mixed pre-season with players being away, today was a really encouraging performance. The lads looked organised, worked hard for each other and showed great character against a physical West End side.

Plenty to build on, but what a way to start life as Chilton U9s! 💙⚽️
