Tony Lowe Mountaineering will be helping a local Charity in September complete the Yorkshire 3 peaks.
They are aiming to raise money for Fin who is from the Wirral, so he can fly to America and then have the operation over there that is required to give him a better quality of life, make his heart perform better and give him an extra 5 to 10 years before he needs a heart transplant.
I’ll be doing everything I can to make sure they all complete this event, and I have donated a guided walk up to 6 people has one of their prizes on their Charity ball later on in the year.
Anyone can spare a few quid feel free to donate, it would be much appreciated.

Great write up on why the new Cheshire walking festival hosted by Guided Outdoor Adventures for 2027 will be supporting Cheshire Search and Rescue
As a volunteer for Cheshire search and rescue myself and a qualified mountain leader who will be leading the main walk of the festival it’s something I’m really looking forward to.
Have a look at the Walking festival (link at bottom of blog) lots of great events including Ladies only Map reading day and Women only walks, Dog friendly walks and of course the main event led by me 😍

A great day on Scafell Pike today with Julie.
I had walked with Julie early on in the year taking her up around Coniston in great weather, Julie recently contacted me and asked if I was free to show her the delights of Scafell Pike from Seathwaite and wanted to see waterfalls as well.
Today didn’t disappoint, we briefly talked about cancelling as the weather at 8am was horrendous but after a quick discussion we decided to go ahead.
We headed up Styhead Gill in the rain and it was like walking in a river 😭🤣 luckily as we stopped for a break at sprinkling tarn the rain stopped and the briefly the clouds cleared to see Great End.
We were dry but walking in clouds the rest of the morning up to Scafell Pike summit but as we left the weather gods were on our side, clouds disappeared and amazing views appeared.
With the rain we have had we also saw plenty of waterfalls coming down Grains Gill
A great day and fantastic views of the Lake District for Julie on her first Scafell Pike summit
Also great to meet Nick Samworth who is on a full nonstop wainwright loop raising money for mountain rescue

A fantastic few days on a private National 3 Peaks.
I was booked to take Gary and his son Alex on a private N3P and their aim was to get under 24hrs
Both were super fit, Alex is a serving soldier ( I forgave him for being a Tankie and not joining the Signals 🤣)
All I can say is they absolutely smashed it.
Ben Nevis was completed in 5hrs 30
Scafell pike in 3hrs
Snowdon in 3hrs 30
Total time was 23hrs 20 mins and if it wasn’t for traffic we would have had a time of around 22hrs
Some great conversations and I can see Alex having a great Army career, a young lad with determination and a vision of where he is aiming for in his career.
Well done both 👏👏👏👏👏

Hi all
My good friend Julia who runs Guided Outdoor Adventures has set up the 1st ever Cheshire walking festival for April 2027.
All money raised will go to three charities including Cheshire Search and Rescue of which I’m a volunteer.
This is fantastic for Cheshire as we have so much beautiful countryside that deserves a walking festival.
I will be leading the main walk of the day with fellow ML Andy Gigg helping me. The Barry Clarke walk, 12 miles of fantastic walking through our fantastic Cheshire countryside.
There are also plenty of other events on, some full days some half days.
Have a look and book on anything you fancy, all of them cheaper than a few drinks in your local pub 👍👍
Also could I ask a massive favour 😍 please share on your social media’s…let’s get the word out there Cheshire has a new much deserved walking festival

Great night in the Peak District last night.
Last night I took Paul and Clive up to Kinder Scout and Grindslow Knoll to see if we could spot some meteors.
What a great night it was, perfect weather and we managed to spot 4 meteors.

A great day working for Challenge Central: Challenges on a Yorkshire Three Peaks helping Irwin Mitchel Law group raise a fantastic amount of money for Crisis
I led the 1st group and they put an excellent effort in to finish in 10hrs 50. We had lots of laughs and some great banter, they even had me running at one point 🤣
A really enjoyable day working for a great outdoor challenge company.
Now having a day off today….i feel a PJ and tv day coming on 🤣
