On Saturday we had Faye from Chepstow Town Under 13 Girls do demonstrations on the shooting drill for Naomi and Ava.
She might have hit the target if she'd worn sensible shoes 😅
It's great to have support from the older age groups towards the younger girls at the football school 🥰

Abigail rocking the Girls Football Coaching Chepstow kit during her 1:1 session yesterday afternoon.
It was a gruelling session, lots of running and moving. The effort levels were off the charts, with the start of the girls season almost upon us!
We saw rain today!
We also had a fantastic 1:1 session with one of the under 13 girls captains, Faye. She's come back from holiday and wants to get back in the swing of things before the season kicks off very shortly!

Massive congratulations to coach Ben for completing his UEFA C License course!
It was a great experience, learning new coaching techniques and methods and ways of communicating. Here's hoping this will help the girls with their training!

Some photos from the last couple of weeks - it's been difficult getting photos with our social media manager abroad in Greece!
We said goodbye to Seren (again) last week as training with her grassroots team resumed. It was great to have her getting ready for the new season with us, though, and she leaves a trophy winner after playing for the Chepstow Town under 11 girls in Bristol 💪
The focus for the last couple of weeks has been passing and moving and we saw some fantastic passes at the end of the session match!
And, despite the holidays, we've had really good attendance at almost all of our sessions in the summer!
With the season due to restart in the next month or so, this is a great opportunity to join us for some extra training to sharpen up, if your daughter is aged 6-9! Send us a message!

Massive well done to Naomi, Evelyn, Daisy, Joss, and Ava for representing us at the Newport Sifil girls summer festival this morning!
It was a hot day in the 3g cages for four 5-a-side matches against some teams far more established. The girls have never had goalkeepers before and they had to adapt very quickly to some different rules than they're used to in training.
Evelyn and Ava scored some amazing goals and the girls who went in goals did really well.
We'll hopefully have a few more matches coming up over the next few weeks and months!

Some photos from today's football school session!
We welcomed a new player and worked on shooting for the first time! We wanted to get the girls ready, because five of them are playing at a football festival at Newport Sifil tomorrow morning! It's our second ever event, but for some of these girls it will be their first ever match!

I'm really proud of her for this. It's not about scoring the "easy" goal. It's about challenging yourself.
Being able to use both feet is such a difficult thing, but we've got at least a couple of girls at the football school who have developed their weaker foot so we'll already in such a short space of time!
