Do you know a young swimmer who has completed Stages 1–7, is aged 8+, confident in all four strokes and ready for their next challenge?

Cheddar Kingfishers could be the perfect next step! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

We’re a friendly, competitive Swim England affiliated club, helping swimmers build confidence, improve technique, increase distance and become part of a brilliant swimming family.

If you’re unable to book into Stage 8/9/10 lessons and your child is ready to try something different, come and give us a go as we are the perfect next step!

Congratulations to our open water swimmers, who kicked off the season in wonderful style at the Cotswold Big Swim.

1.9km race James in first in 30:54, Noah and Amy arriving at the finishing line together on 38:10, Coach Sarah who organised the team was next with 42:13 and secured Bronze 🥉 in her age group.

Meanwhile Joannie competed in the 5km in 1:20:13 and came first 🥇 in her age group.

Well done all 👏🏻

Pool is back open tomorrow with the pool flooring now complete and Kingfisher training commences from Wednesday 2nd September 🏊‍♂️

Congratulations to Kingfisher Audrey and her Taunton school long distance swimming team, who just completed swimming the Channel. What an incredible accomplishment 👏🏻

Boom 💥 The Pink Team land below Cap Griz Nez in 14 hours and 29 minutes.

An epic overnight swim and endgame🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️💪

💙🧡Cheddar Kingfishers Club Championships – Fun Gala! 💙🧡

What a fantastic day for our Club Championships, Fun Gala! It was wonderful to see so many swimmers giving their all, cheering each other on, and enjoying a great day of racing together.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the gala such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!

A special thank you to our fantastic Club Captains, Noah and Amelia, for organising such a fun relay! From ducks, noodles and balls to flips, corkscrews and one-arm front crawl, it had everyone smiling, laughing and cheering from the poolside 🏊‍♂️ 🏊‍♀️

It was also lovely to welcome a few swimmers from Burnham-on-Sea Swimming Club to join us with Harrison. Thank you for coming along—we hope you enjoyed being part of the day!

Most importantly, well done to all of our swimmers for your enthusiasm, determination and brilliant team spirit. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. Congratulations to everyone who took part, and to all of our Club Championship medal winners! 💙🧡

Wow! 🤩 What amazing swimming from everyone at last nights Four Seasons Gala.

Huge thank you to all swimmers, parents and special mention to those pictured - we couldn’t attend any galas without coaches, TM’s and officials.
🧡💙Thanks To Louisa and Ellen, Sarah A for being one of the referees, Sarah B and Amelia for being timekeepers also Noah and Leo for covering the end of the pool to assist swimmers. 🧡💙
