Never underestimate the power of going for a walk.

Morning, noon or night, stepping outside and moving your body can be one of the quickest ways to calm your nervous system, shift your energy and bring yourself back to the present moment.

Walking helps release stress, clear mental clutter and create space between you and whatever is weighing on your mind. It doesn't need to be a long walk or a power walk. Sometimes 10 or 15 minutes is enough to change how you feel.

And if you can walk somewhere with trees, greenery, fields or a park, even better. Nature naturally grounds us, helping us slow down and reminding our bodies that we're safe.

So if you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious or simply need a reset, put your phone away, put your shoes on and go outside for a walk.

Your mind, body and nervous system will thank you for it. 🌿🚶‍♀️

My go-to film has always been Eat Pray Love.

Maybe because a part of me hopes that one day I'll be brave enough and in a position where I can do what Liz does. To choose three places, for three reasons, that are completely and unapologetically about me and my own journey.

What keeps drawing me back to the film and even more so the book, is how much of Liz's story exists in so many of us.

We move through day-to-day life getting lost in other people. We blame circumstances, relationships, jobs and experiences for what's wrong deep inside, rather than looking honestly at what is really asking for our attention.

Yet so many of life's twists and turns are not happening to us but for us. They arrive to free us, redirect us, teach us or transform us.

We live in a society that conditions us through fear. Fear of change. Fear of being judged. Fear of choosing ourselves. Over time, many of us lose trust in our own instincts. Our needs are pushed to the back of the queue for so long that we stop knowing how we truly feel.

So we stay in the cycle.

Repeating the same patterns, the same lessons, the same struggles, until eventually something reaches breaking point.

Now imagine, just for a moment, that you were able to step outside of your life.

With fresh eyes, you could see the things you've been avoiding, feel the emotions you've been suppressing and acknowledge the truths you've been running from.

Not through judgement. Not through forced positivity but through honest awareness.

What if every person, every challenge, every heartbreak and every unexpected turn had been a messenger, guiding you to this exact point?

Not as punishment but as an invitation.

An invitation to understand yourself more deeply.

To reconnect with your truth. To become free from the patterns that no longer serve you.

Elizabeth Gilbert writes:
"If you're brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting... and if you are prepared, most of all, to face and forgive some very difficult realities about yourself, then the truth will not be withheld from you."

What if life offered you a journey like Liz's?

Where might it take you?

What truth might you discover?

And what might you finally be ready to let go of?

In true Liz style it's Food for Thought 🤔

Authenticity is deeply personal.

It's not about being loud, opinionated or saying whatever comes to mind. It's about being honest with yourself and honouring what feels true for you.

When you ignore your needs, suppress your feelings, stay silent to avoid conflict or compromise your values to keep others comfortable, you're moving away from your authentic self.

Many people think they're keeping the peace, but the conflict doesn't disappear it simply moves inward.

It often turns into anger, frustration, resentment and those familiar thoughts that loop around our minds: "I wish I'd said something." "I should have done things differently." "Why do I always do this?"

Every time we abandon ourselves to please others, we create an internal tension. We say yes when we mean no. We stay quiet when something matters. We shrink parts of ourselves to fit in or avoid upsetting someone else.

What remains unspoken doesn't just disappear. It can become tension in the body, stress in the mind and heaviness in the heart. Over time, repeatedly betraying your own truth creates a disconnect between who you are and how you're living.

Authenticity isn't selfish.

It's honouring your feelings, needs, boundaries and values while remaining respectful of others.

It's speaking your truth without causing harm. It's allowing yourself to be seen, heard and valued without abandoning yourself in the process.

When what you feel, think, say and do are aligned, you create self-trust, inner peace and healthier relationships. You stop wasting energy pretending and start living in a way that feels more honest and freeing.

Your voice matters.

Your needs matter.

Your values matter.

Authenticity isn't about becoming someone else.

It's about having the courage to be fully yourself.

It's allowed!!
