The amazing Cwtch Baby Bank is urgently looking for newborn and 0–3 month baby clothes. They currently have 14 families waiting for baby bundles, with little ones due to arrive over the next month.

If you have any baby clothes your little one has outgrown, please consider donating them. Even a small bag of clothes could make a huge difference to a family preparing to welcome their baby.

If you're unable to donate, please help by sharing this post so it reaches someone who can. Together, our community can make sure every new baby has the essentials they need. ❤️

We put an appeal up a couple of weeks ago asking for newborn clothes and received some lovely donations as a result.
Unfortunately this was not enough to fulfil our referrals which are still waiting and their due dates are drawing near! We currently have 14 families in need of support who are waiting for their new baby bundles from us that are due in the next month.
If you have any clothes in size newborn or 0-3 months and are able to drop them off to our unit in Taffs Well please email [email protected].
If you don’t have any donations but know someone who may be able to help we would be really grateful if you could share this post with them.

💜 Hello Monday, Cardiff Mums! 💜

A brand new week is here, and with it comes a fresh start.

Whether your week is filled with school runs, work, appointments, toddler groups, coffee dates, or simply trying to keep everyone fed and happy... remember this:

💕 You don't have to do it all.
💕 You don't have to do it perfectly.
💕 You just have to do your best.

Celebrate the little wins, laugh at the chaos, ask for help when you need it, and don't forget to look after yourself too.

Wishing every Cardiff Mum a week filled with kindness, patience, and plenty of little moments that make you smile.

☀️ 🌡️ HEATWAVE REMINDER FOR CARDIFF FAMILIES 🌡️☀️
With the temperatures rising, it's worth remembering that children can overheat much faster than adults, especially babies and toddlers. ❤️
Whether you're heading to the park, the beach, a splash pad or just playing in the garden, here are a few important reminders:
💦 Keep the drinks flowing
Offer water regularly throughout the day – don't wait until they're thirsty. Watermelon, ice lollies and other juicy fruits can also help keep little ones hydrated.
👶 Babies under 6 months
They shouldn't be given water. Breast milk or formula provides all the hydration they need.
🌳 Stay in the shade
Try to avoid being in direct sunshine during the hottest part of the day (around 11am–3pm) where possible.
🌡️ Know the signs of heat exhaustion
Heavy sweating
Pale, clammy skin
Tiredness or weakness
Dizziness
Nausea
Move them somewhere cool, encourage fluids and cool them down with damp cloths or a lukewarm bath.
🚨 Heat stroke is a medical emergency Look out for:
Hot skin
Confusion or unusual drowsiness
High temperature
Not sweating despite being very hot
If you suspect heat stroke, call 999 immediately.
💊 Extra care for some children If your child takes medication such as ADHD medication, antihistamines or certain other medicines, they may be more prone to overheating. Speak to your healthcare professional if you're unsure and take extra care in hot weather.
☀️ Let's make this a summer full of happy memories, paddling pools, picnics and ice creams—not heat-related emergencies. 💜
