It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to name our Histon FC Women Woman of the Week! 👏

This week, the award goes to Charlotte Freestone after an outstanding, all-action display in midfield. 💪⚽

Charlotte was everywhere, putting in the hard work in the middle of the park and coming so close to a spectacular goal when her effort from around 30 yards crashed back off the crossbar! 😱💥

A special mention too for CW Sports Radio, who provided live commentary from the game and selected Charlotte as their Player of the Match. 🎙️👏

Histon FC Women pick up their first three points of the season with an excellent 3-0 home victory over St Albans City Women! 🙌

A brilliant all-round display saw us solid at the back, earn our first clean sheet and create chance after chance, playing some lovely football along the way. ⚽️

A fantastic result and a performance to be proud of as we continue our journey in the Premier Division! ❤️🖤

Wednesday means it’s time to recognise another outstanding performance, and this week’s Histon FC Women Woman of the Week goes to Abi Davies! 👏

An all-action display at right back on Sunday, Abi was superb defensively, protecting the backline with determination and producing a brilliant goal-line clearance when it mattered most. 💪

She also provided plenty of support going forward, driving down the flank and helping us turn defence into attack.

A huge effort from Abi and a big contribution towards earning our first Premier League point! ⚽️👏

Well done, Abi! ❤️🖤

What a battle. 👊

A proper contest from the first minute to the last, with chances at both ends and both sides having to work hard for everything.

There was some excellent defending throughout, and a brilliant moment for Evie Nicholls as she got herself off the mark for the season with a quality finish. ⚽️🔴⚫

It looked like it might be enough for all three points, but Royston found a 92nd-minute equaliser.

Disappointing to be pegged back so late, but there is plenty to be pleased about. A hard-earned point against a strong and experienced side at this level. 👏

We keep building. We keep learning. We go again. 🔴⚫
