Weekend of self love 🫶🏼

Lately, I’ve been having a tough battle with my menopause symptoms, alongside riding the wave of some pretty intense ADHD symptoms. I’ve been struggling to find the right balance, and if I’m honest, it’s been leaving me feeling burnt out.

So, spending Saturday at my parents’ house was exactly what I needed. ❤️

Their home is calm and quiet, and even just having a day to slow down, spend time together and reset helped me more than I realised I needed.

It also reminded me that life is short. We all have our family challenges, but being able to find joy in simple moments together is something I’ll always treasure. These are the moments that become memories we carry with us for a lifetime. ❤️

And then Sunday brought another kind of happiness…

Sharing my love of trail running with Kim, followed by the most relaxing yoga session in the park. 🌿🧘‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Sometimes, looking after yourself doesn’t mean doing nothing. Sometimes it’s slowing down. Sometimes it’s being with the people who make you feel safe. Sometimes it’s moving your body in a way that brings you joy.

I’m still trying to find my balance, and I know there will be days when I get it wrong. But this weekend reminded me that it’s okay to pause, reset and find joy in the little things along the way. 💜

These photos remind me just how far I’ve come. 🥹🫶🏼

Eight years ago, I hated running. I never would have imagined that one day I’d be crossing the finish line of an ultra! 😅

There have been plenty of moments along the way where I’ve questioned myself, struggled, wanted to give up and wondered what on earth I was doing… but looking back at these photos, I’m so proud of the journey.

It’s not just about the distance. It’s about everything I’ve learned about myself along the way, resilience, patience, consistency and trusting that I’m capable of more than I sometimes believe.

And now I’m already looking forward to booking my next challenge… 👀

Although, before anyone gets excited… it definitely won’t be another ultra for quite some time! 😂🙈

For now, I’m happy to enjoy the memories, the achievement and this incredible experience with Alice. 🫶🏼

Here’s to seeing where the next chapter takes me. 🏃🏻‍♀️✨

We have continued circuits and boxing in the park throughout August! 🙌🏼

Very proud of everyone’s progress and for sticking with me! 🫶🏼

My morning routine isn’t about having the perfect morning. It’s about giving myself a little time before the noise of the day begins.

This song really resonates with my routine 🫶🏼… Before I move, before I speak, I set my energy for the week.

I listen to my uplifting morning songs.
I go for a walk with Betty Boo.
I check in with myself instead of checking my phone. I don’t scroll, I take control.

Some mornings are easier than others. Some days I feel motivated, others I don’t. But this little routine helps me set the pace for the day ahead.

Today I hosted my very first Menopause Café at The Dandelion Café in Corsham, and it was such a lovely morning.

One of the highlights was chatting to a couple in their 70s who shared their experience of menopause and how it affected them both. It was a really important reminder that menopause doesn’t just affect the person going through it – it can also impact partners, family members, friends, and the people we live with.

At some point in our lives, most of us will experience menopause ourselves or support someone who is. That’s why it’s so important that we keep talking about it, sharing our experiences, and raising awareness.

Menopause is a completely natural stage of life, but no two people experience it in the same way. Some people have very few symptoms, while others find it has a huge impact on their physical and mental wellbeing. Every story deserves to be heard.

I’ll be hosting a Menopause Café at The Dandelion Café in Corsham on the first Tuesday of every month. It’s a relaxed, friendly space where anyone is welcome to come along for a coffee, a chat, or simply to listen.

I’d love to see you there.
