RIP Ruben😢. Heartbroken to hear of the passing of 16 year old Brid Rangers player Ruben Hepworth.

A statement from his club reads as follows ;

Everyone at Bridlington Rangers is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of our players, Ruben Hepworth, aged just 16.

Ruben was a talented footballer who joined our club at the very beginning of his football journey and remained part of the Bridlington Rangers family throughout his junior football years.

Our thoughts are with his Mum, Dad and Brother, along with his wider family and all of his friends, at this incredibly difficult time.

Sending our deepest condolences and heartfelt support to everyone who knew and loved Ruben.

Rest in peace, Ruben. You will always be remembered as part of the Bridlington Rangers family. 💙

Today we came together as a team to show our respects to Ruben a local boy who sadly lost his life too soon a lot of the lads on the team know Rubens Younger brother and some were friends with Ruben also today in that moment we as a team our players managers Parents & Club our opposition Cayton all sent all our love to Rubens Mum Dad & Brother to his family & friends there are no words what can be spoken to ease your pain but know each of you are in our thoughts in this horrid time Bridlington Town Rovers Development

Our teams are so lucky having the support from local photographers who get some cracking shots and it was no different last week when we played the u16s in a friendly we had the talented Bailey Beaden down Bailey always gets some cracking shots if you get chance go check out his work

Last night was our 1st proper training session back was Good to see the lads back together laughing joking and enjoying being back on the pitch (mostly) it's rime comprehensive for season 26/27 ⚽️
