STAGE 84 PRESENTS FOOTLOOSE: YOUTH EDITION CAST! 👢🎶

For our final Footloose Meet the Cast post, we’re introducing the two characters at the heart of the story - Ren McCormack and Ariel Moore! Ren is a determined teenager from Chicago who finds himself in Bomont, while Ariel is the spirited daughter of Reverend Shaw Moore who longs for the freedom to make her own choices. As their paths cross, their relationship becomes central to the story, bringing romance, courage and plenty of emotion to the stage.

Alongside them are Ariel’s friends Urleen, Wendy Jo and Rusty, who bring plenty of personality, friendship and fun to the story, while Willard Hewitt quickly becomes one of Ren’s closest friends. From the energy of “Holding Out for a Hero” and “Mama Says” these characters share some fantastic moments throughout the show.

Together, Ren, Ariel, Willard, Urleen, Wendy Jo and Rusty bring friendship, romance, determination, comedy and plenty of energy to the stage, making this a fantastic group to finish our Footloose Meet the Cast series!

REHEARSALS OF ALADDIN & FOOTLOOSE! 🎭✨

Sunday was another busy day at Stage 84 as our students continued rehearsals for our upcoming productions of Disney’s Aladdin JR and Footloose: Youth Edition …and wow were we blown away by the talent!

Our Aladdin JR. and Footloose: Youth Edition casts have been working incredibly hard to prepare for the big stage, from developing their stage presence, to working on voice projection and making sure their performances can reach every corner of the theatre.

Seeing the Chapel filled with dedicated students, happy faces and plenty of energy is exactly what Stage 84 is all about. Support, teamwork, artistry, growth and excellence, are at the heart of everything we do, and it was wonderful to see those values throughout Sunday’s rehearsal.

We can’t wait to see our students take to the stage at Yeadon Town Hall Theatre from Thursday 1 to Saturday 3 October!🎭
