Another good win for Crown now leading us to 3 wins in 3 games after a 4-0 win against gomersal & cleckheaton, the day started with an instant mess up where teams have been double booked and playing on our home pitch so we reversed the game and played away from home yet again!! The boys stepped up anyways and started the game strongly creating chances early on but nothing coming from them, our foot then stepped off the gas where we allowed some slack chances and mistakes lead to gomersal having a lot of the ball and creating chance after chance where dockers made some great saves to keep us in at 0-0, danny farrar broke the deadlock half way into the first half with another cracker of a finish taking us into half time at 1-0, second half came and it was utter control from crown again where it was only a matter of time we scored another but in a shock decision by the ref after a gomersal corner a penalty was awarded but yet again the big man in net (chairman) stepped up and made a huge save off the pen, the game remained 1-0 with crown pushing to finish it off where a flick on from a long ball fell to Dan hunt in the box who very calmly slotted his goal away, we then had shots blocked off the line, keeper making save after save to keep it at 2-0 but then the top scorer of the league stepped up once again and finished the game off capping himself with a hat trick and giving crown a big 4-0 win 🏆 we now have a couple weeks rest before we then play odsal in our next league fixture and the boys are going to be well up for this one too

This Sunday, Crown AFC play host to Gomersal & Cleckheaton in our first home game of the 26/27 Sunday alliance season.

After two wins in a row on the road, the boys are absolutely fired up to carry on this form and make it 3 wins out of 3, and collect our first home points as a club.

This will be a tough game against another strong outfit and the boys know full well they will have to be focused from the off to come away with a victory.

Marsh Inn vs Crown AFC

Crown AFC came away with a hard-fought 3–2 victory away to Marsh Inn in a competitive Sunday League fixture.

Both teams put in a strong performance today, with plenty of quality football and determination shown throughout the game. Crown started positively and were rewarded for their efforts with Danny Farrar scoring first goal of the game, finishing well after an assist from Tyler Ratnik ⚽️

Crown continued to push forward and soon found themselves with a second goal. Danny Farrar grabbed his second of the game, with Kai Armitage providing the assist from a free kick ⚽️

At the other end, Alife Widdop was exceptional in goal for Crown, making saves to keep his side in control and giving the team a solid foundation to build from.

Going into the second half, the boys came out with a positive attitude, Marsh Inn fought back strongly, and after conceding a couple of goals, Crown found themselves level at 2–2.

With the game heading towards its final stages, Crown dug deep and made one final push. Their determination paid off when Marsh Heaton found the back of the net to score the winning goal, with Tyler Ratnik once again providing the assist ⚽️

A fantastic team performance from Crown AFC. The boys showed strength and resilience throughout the match, and the morale within the squad was excellent from start to finish.

A great 3–2 away win and the perfect way to start a Bank Holiday Sunday! ⚽️💪

This Sunday we make another away trip to The Marsh Inn FC where the boys will be looking to capitalise on that fantastic opening day 0-2 away win vs Shipley Town. The boys will have to dig in and the message will very much be more of the same as we look to take another 3 points against another strong outfit.

Season Off to a Flyer! 👑🔥

And we’re off! The 2026/27 season has officially begun, and what a way to kick things off! 🔥

After having to give up Thursday’s fixture due to the league scheduling our first game midweek, with a number of the lads away at the City game, we finally got our season underway today with a trip to Shipley Town.

With one of the gaffers away and another serving a suspension, the lads really stepped up when it mattered. 💪

It was a hard-fought game against a strong Shipley side who had just been promoted, but Crown showed great character, took control of the game and came away with a big opening-day win! 👑🔥

And a special mention to our two strikers, who both got on the scoresheet to seal the victory! ⚽🔥

Onto next week, where we face another strong outfit away from home at Marsh Inn.

Happy Sunday after all, after a hard summer cup up against some top quality teams and struggling to really get a foothold in games it feels nice to now walk away on a Sunday with a win, in a game where we controlled the ball for A lot of the game on a tough pitch, can’t fault the lads today came out and did the tactics and set up how we have been training to play and the improvements showed with more goals scored and to only concede to a pen from us slacking off is a major improvement and there’s much more to come

This Sunday we take on Keighley athletic in our next summer cup game, the boys have been struggling recently with injuries, holidays etc and faced 2 very bad results in the last couple games losing 6-0 to old Farley and 6-1 to main line, we now look to bounce back and get our heads back up please come support the boys if available ❤️

Yesterday Crown AFC took on Priestley fc in our second competitive game in the summer cup after a loss in our first game against bd8 fc, the boys wanted to show what we can do and came out victorious with a 5-4 win🔥🔥 a very good game of football played with some absolute screamers scored by Callum Clarke and emmey with a 45 yard belter, the game started quick with crown in control really of all the ball until a throw in conceded lead to us going 1-0 down but the boys responded well and bounced back and got back on level terms, where we then seen us control the ball for a lot of the game but it wasn’t until the second half when the floodgates opened and the goals started to flood in, Crown took a 5-2 lead but then took there eye of the game where Priestley responded well and scored 2 goals to bring the game back to a tense ending but the boys held out and finally got that win on the board
