Have you ever stopped to question whether everything you think is actually true?

Our minds are incredible storytellers. Sometimes those stories encourage us.
Sometimes they protect us and sometimes they convince us of things that simply aren't true.

I'm not good enough.
Everyone is judging me.
I can't cope.

The interesting thing is, we often accept those thoughts as facts without ever stopping to question them.

One of the biggest lessons NLP taught me wasn't how to stop thinking.
It was how to become curious about my thinking. Instead of believing every thought automatically, I learned to ask:

Is this definitely true?
What evidence do I have?
What else could be true?

Those questions don't magically make difficult thoughts disappear, but they do create something incredibly valuable...Choice.

Because when we stop treating every thought as a fact, we give ourselves permission to see things differently.

💜 What's one thought you've been treating as a fact that might deserve a second look?

Looking back, I wasn't weak. I was carrying more than I realised and pushing myself harder just to keep everything together.

The turning point for me wasn't trying to be stronger. It was learning what was actually going on in my mind.

I started to challenge the inner critic that had been running the show for years. The voice that told me I wasn't doing enough, that I should cope better, that everyone else seemed to manage life more easily than I did.

For so long, I accepted those thoughts as the truth. I never stopped to question where they came from or whether they were even true.

Learning about how our thoughts, beliefs and patterns influence the way we feel changed everything for me. Instead of automatically believing every critical thought, I became curious about it.

I began asking myself, Is that really true? What evidence do I have? What else could be true?

That didn't make every difficult thought disappear overnight, but it gave me something I had been missing for a long time. CHOICE.

Today, I still have moments of self-doubt because I'm human. The difference is that I no longer let my inner critic have the final say.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, constantly questioning yourself or wondering where your confidence has gone, know this: those thoughts don't define you. They are simply thoughts and thoughts can be questioned.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is stop believing everything your inner critic tells you.

Have you ever wondered why your mind always imagines the worst?

Your brain is trying to keep you safe, it's doing its job, but sometimes it becomes overprotective.

Instead of believing every anxious thought, try asking yourself:

'What else could be true?' Curiosity often creates space for calm.

💜 Have you noticed your mind jumping to conclusions lately?

Not every symptom is a hot flush.

Many women experience:
• Brain fog
• Anxiety
• Poor sleep
• Aching joints
• Reduced confidence
• Overwhelm
• Mood changes

If you're nodding along, you're not alone. Menopause looks different for every woman, which is why education matters just as much as movement.

That's why we create peri Pilates to help through the menopause journey with education, Pilates, support and relaxation. Menopause can be a tough time for some and being in a supportive environment can massively help with symptoms.

Contact us to find out more about our programme starting Tuesday, 8th September

Have you ever wondered how often we describe ourselves as 'an anxious person'?

It's something I hear all the time. 'I’ve always been anxious.'

But have you?

Perhaps anxiety isn't who you are. Perhaps it's something you've been experiencing.

For many women during perimenopause and menopause, anxiety can seem to appear out of nowhere. Hormonal changes, poor sleep and stress can leave your nervous system feeling overwhelmed.

That doesn't define who you are.

💜 What would change if you stopped saying "I am an anxious person" and started saying "I'm experiencing anxiety right now"?

Have you ever stopped and wondered if the way you've been feeling lately could actually have an explanation?

Many women spend months, or even years, thinking they're simply stressed, exhausted or 'not coping' anymore. Anxiety appears out of nowhere, sleep becomes a struggle, brain fog makes everyday tasks feel harder and your body suddenly feels stiff and unfamiliar.

The fact is, these can all be common symptoms of perimenopause.

You're not losing yourself. Your hormones are changing, and understanding what's happening is the first step towards feeling more like you again.

That's exactly why we created Peri Pilates. Every week we combine gentle Pilates, menopause education and deep relaxation so you leave feeling stronger, calmer and better informed.

You don't have to figure this out on your own.

We would love to support you. Starting Tuesday 8th September 6.15pm

Confidence, it's a funny thing because so many people think you either have it or you don't. I used to think that too.

The women I work with often tell me, "I'll come when I feel more confident." Or, "Once I've got my confidence back, I'll start looking after myself again."
But what if confidence isn't where you start? What if it's something you build along the way?

Think about a child learning to walk. They don't stand there waiting until they feel confident enough to take that first step. They wobble, fall over, get back up and try again. Nobody questions whether they're good enough. They just keep going.
Somewhere along the way, we stop giving ourselves that same patience. We expect ourselves to get everything right first time.

Who decided that you had to be confident before you tried something new?
Because from where I'm standing, confidence grows every time you keep a promise to yourself.

It grows when you walk into that Pilates class, even though you're nervous.
It grows when you ask for help instead of struggling on your own.
It grows when you do one small thing today that yesterday felt impossible.

Those little moments might not seem like much at the time, but they add up.
One day, you'll look back and realise you didn't suddenly become confident.

You simply stopped letting fear make all the decisions.
If you're waiting until you feel confident enough to start, maybe today is the day to do it anyway.

I'd love to know, what's one thing you've been putting off because you don't feel confident enough?
