With our season now finished we are on the lookout for a new management team to come on board and take the club forward in the 23/24 season.

Ian, Craig and Casey have been running the team for the last 4 years now and are taking a step back from the coaching to concentrate on other ventures.

With a good core squad of boys still at the club we are now looking for someone to come in and run the team and bring in some new players and some fresh ideas to take the team forward into the new season.

With support from and strong links to Blantyre Vics Senior, under 20 and Youth teams there is a great platform to grow this team, make your mark and input your philosophy before the start of next season.

Sundays Result:

Both teams went away with a share of the points in Sundays match away to Symington Tinto.

It’s always a tight game against them and Sunday was no different with chances for both teams to win the game.

Sportsman’s Dinner
Friday 18th November
We have limited tickets now available for our annual sportsman’s dinner featuring former player Des McKeown, former player Alex Rae and Comedian Jo Camay.

Price includes a cracking meal to line the stomach for all the laughter (and lager🤣).

Last years dinner was absolutely hilarious and we can’t wait for this years.

Sundays game ended in defeat to a well organised Bardykes Rovers.

On reflection Bardykes had more chances to score than us and took there chances well.
However there were plenty of positives to take from the game as it was quite the battle and we actually played some really nice passing football, unfortunately we just couldn’t put the ball in the net.

We wish Bardykes all the best for their future games

We are now on the lookout for a goalkeeper to come and join us.

With our two goalkeepers out of action for the foreseeable we need a committed gk to step in and take the mantle.

Last weeks Result:

Narrow defeat against Newmains last week as a windy day made the game quite difficult for both teams.

First half was fairly even, went into the break 1-0 down after conceding a penalty. Had to replace our keeper Shea McPherson at half time after he broke his finger and had to go to hospital. Casey went from one end of the pitch to the other as he stood in for Shea between the sticks.

2nd half, Newmains started well and scored two goals fairly early on, one of them another penalty🤦‍♂️
Although we found ourselves 3-0 down with about half an hour to go we knew we were still in it and we were creating plenty of chances, We managed to score 2 to pull us back into the game.
Fair play to the Newmains keeper as he pulled off some absolutely cracking saves to keep them on top and we just ran out of time to find the equaliser.

Thanks to Newmains for the game and we wish them all the best.

No game this week for us so we look forward to the Sunday Trophy round 2 next week.

Another league win for the Vics.

Was a pretty scrappy match from start to finish but we held on to the lead after a couple of mistakes let DT back into the game late on.

Done enough to get the 3 points though and we move on to next week.

Great effort in the end from the lads to get the result.

A great performance today in the Sunday trophy 1st round down at Stonefield Park.

6 goals and a clean sheet sees us move on into the next round.
