⚽️Reserves Dummy Club⚽️

This week the reserves chose a smart shirt and tie (Josh did not get the memo 🥴🤣)

Fair play the lads scrub up well although Slinky can’t afford a decent pair of shoes😭

Another great effort 💪🏼

⚫️🔴 BLACKWOOD TOWN FIRST TEAM — PLAYER OF THE MONTH! ⚫️🔴

With only two games played in September, this month’s Player of the Month has shown exactly what it means to be a team player.

He’s always shown great determination, whether he’s in the starting 11 or coming off the bench. He’s played in two different positions since the start of the season, never moans, always puts his hand up, and gives absolutely everything for the team. 👏

A special mention has to go to the game against Garnlydan. Starting at LB, Beamsy was solid all game before moving to LW on the 70th minute — and what followed was two great goals that ultimately won us the game! ⚽️⚽️

That attitude, versatility and determination is exactly what you want from a teammate🔴⚫️

GARNLYDAN AFC 2–4 BLACKWOOD TOWN 🔴⚪️

We knew this one was going to be a tough test, and it certainly lived up to expectations! 😮‍💨

Garnlydan got off to the perfect start, scoring the first goal and making things look a little less promising for us at times. But the lads showed great character to turn things around, with JP getting us back on level terms! 💪

Then came Beamsey… 👀 After moving from LB to LW, he bagged TWO goals to complete a brilliant performance and earn himself a well-deserved MOTM! 🏆🔥

We also managed to grab an own goal along the way 🙈😂

Goals:
⚽️ JP
⚽️ Own Goal 🙈
⚽️ Beamsey x2

Assists:
🎯 Ethan Oldridge
🎯 Liam Bennington

MOTM: Andrew Beames 🏆

Donkeys: Callum & Benni 🫏😂

We always knew this would be a big test for us, but the lads dug deep, walked away with all 3 points and, most importantly, we’re STILL UNBEATEN! 🔥

Plenty of singing, dancing and celebrations after the final whistle — and there’s not a single lad who doesn’t deserve it! 🍻💃🕺

❌ GAME OFF ❌
Tomorrow’s Bob Annett Cup fixture has been postponed yet again, with the opposition unable to field a team. After the lads have trained, prepared and looked forward to another competitive fixture, it’s incredibly frustrating to have another Saturday without a game.

That’s now yet another postponement, and unfortunately it leaves us without a fixture this weekend. 😤

There’s nothing we can do about it now other than move on, dust ourselves down and get back to work.

Our focus immediately turns to next weekend, when we face one of our biggest tests of the season — an away trip to a strong Garnlydan side in the league.

Both sides are unbeaten, so it promises to be a huge game and one the lads will be desperate to get stuck into🔴⚫️
