Last game’s What The Flowers Man of the Match was our magician in the middle, Rory Davies! 👏

Another fantastic outing from Rory, who kept things simple, was always showing for the ball and drove us forward throughout the game. He also put in the hard work defensively, tracking back and helping the team whenever needed. 💪🏻

A well-deserved award, Rory — congratulations! No doubt there’ll be plenty more to come. 🙌🏻

There were some fantastic performances across the pitch yesterday, with Thomas Turner taking his chance and putting in a brilliant shift. He didn’t stop running all game and gave everything for the team. 👏

Unity FC — Matchday Reflection

🏆 BALLERS LEAGUE
MVF St Helens 3–1 Unity FC

A frustrating result, but one that comes with plenty of positives to take.

We travelled to St Helens with a paper-thin squad, and despite that, the lads showed incredible character. The patterns of play were there, the chances were created, and the defensive effort from everyone was outstanding. We even took the lead and, for large periods, competed extremely well against a strong MVF side.

As the game went on, the difference in squad depth began to show. MVF were able to bring fresh legs into the game, while our players had to dig even deeper. They took their opportunities late on and deserve credit for finding a way to turn the game around.

It was competitive, scrappy at times, but played in the right spirit throughout. 🤝

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out, everyone who made the journey, those who drove, and every single player who left everything on that pitch. You fought for the badge, for each other and for Unity.

On another day, with a bigger squad and a little more luck, we may have seen the result through. But that’s football.

We are Unity. 🖤💗

It has never been about individuals. It is about the collective, the people beside us, the community around us and the bigger picture we are building together.

A result like this won’t define us. We’ll take the lessons, keep working, keep believing and come back stronger. This is part of the journey, and the bigger picture remains firmly in sight.

Unity FC 0–7 Blackpool Football Therapy

A tough scoreline, but one that doesn’t tell the full story of the game.

Today was a frustrating afternoon for Unity, as we created plenty of opportunities but simply couldn’t find the finish. Football can be like that sometimes — one team can dominate the chances, while the other shows incredible efficiency in front of goal.

Credit where it’s due: Blackpool Football Therapy were clinical, disciplined and took their opportunities extremely well. Congratulations to BFT on the result and thank you for a competitive game played in a fantastic spirit. 👏⚽

For us, there were still plenty of positives to take. The sun was shining, the warm-up was excellent, the effort was there, and there were some brilliant moments of football from both sides.

We’ll take the lessons, keep working, and come back stronger. Results like this are part of the journey, and they won’t define what we’re building at Unity FC. 🖤💗
