This morning the boys had a run out against our Clifton Stingers 🐝🤝

Really competitive game with both teams producing some excellent goals 🥅 📍

The best game the Hornets have played in a long time. Every one of them worked as a team today with some great passing and assists for the goals ⚽️👏🏼

The lads played a friendly on Saturday morning at home to YMCA Oranges 🍊 🤝

Very tough team to play against but the boys put up a fight until the end 💪

Coaches player of the match goes to Seb, huge improvement on his effort from the previous couple of games 👏🏼 🏆

Parents player of the match goes to Jack, all over the pitch again and scored 2 great goals 🙌🏽 🏆

Today the lads joined up and had a fun day out at Footy Nation in Southport ⚽️

Tonight we swapped midweek training for a friendly kick about against our Clifton Wasps 🤝

Tough game as always….all desperate for them bragging rights 😀

Coaches player of the match goes to Louie L. Another strong performance today and really starting to hold his own 💪 🏆

Shout out to Taylor and Louis P also for volunteering to do half a game each between the sticks….while our goalie Logan is sipping mocktails by the pool 🍹☀️

A little cameo for Logan outfield too, with Tay and Jack having a stint in goal 🥅

Unfortunately it’s another sad day for the Hornets as it was Max’s last game today 😔

He’s a naturally gifted kid and we know for sure he will be banging them in for his new team 😮‍💨

Bittersweet game for the Hornets today 🐝

We played against our good friends Clifton Stingers in a friendly at St Mary’s 🤝💛

Both teams played a great competitive game, with some fantastic goals from both sides 👏🏼

The highlight of the match was seeing some of the lads who don’t score very often get on the score sheet 🤩

So a massive well done to Louis P, Louie L and Jack👏🏼 ⚽️

Some absolute belters from the usual suspects Charlie and Max 🙌🏽 🚀

Parents player of the match goes to Louie L, an outstanding performance and a great goal ⚽️

Coaches player of the match goes to Max. Was great to see him scoring but even better to see him assisting his team mates 👏🏼

Now the sad part 😢

It’s with a heavy heart that our No7 Charlie has decided to move on to another club to play with his school friends.

Charlie has been an absolute pleasure to coach for the last 12months and will be greatly missed by all the boys, parents and coaches 🫶🏼

We hope his new club appreciate him as much as we do 💛

What a great first season the boys have had

These lads have become the best of friends on and off the pitch 🫶🏼

Unfortunately there was only 4 trophies up for grabs tonight, but every single one of these lads played their part this season 💪 💛

⚽️ St Anne’s Tournament ⚽️

Today the Hornets took part in the St Anne’s U7 tournament, and what a fantastic day ☀️

The lads played 5 mini league games and managed to get all the way to the final 😮‍💨 narrowly missing out on lifting the trophy 🏆

Some fantastic goals throughout the day, with a rocket of a free kick from Charlie 🚀

Super proud of every single one of the lads. It was a long day but they gave their all until that final whistle 🫶🏼

It’s been a great first season with this bunch of lads, it’s brilliant to see how close the Hornets boys are and what a great team they are developing into 🫶🏼 we’ve also got a cracking set of parents too 💛

Second time we’ve played the Jags, who are a very strong and well drilled team 👏

Excellent competitive game with both teams giving it their all 💪

The Hornets worked really hard today both in and out of possession. Some wonderful goals from Max ⚽️ and some outstanding saves from Logan 🥅 ❌ 😮‍💨
