What a double header of a weekend that was!

Friday then Saturday , 2 completely different teams went out and played the BFT way!

Today game was excellent , our casuals team 4th game in total and they are coming on really well.

Fair play to Hatters Unite what a class bunch you lads are and we will run it back in burnley.

1st up our recreational team take on a Poolfoot XI, these lads play weekly and fancied a game so we will oblige and show them what were about, be a good run out for some of the rec lads aswell.

2nd is on Saturday where we play our casuals team has a busy couple of weeks ahead.

Tornado Tuesday session report

BFT sessions were back in action last night after the bank holiday weekend.

Quality football from both sides last night! Both teams put a lot of effort in! Some great goals throughout the night too👌

Reds motm - Dan Johnson mr lasso himself absolutely quality at cb and also a stint in the net too! Well played pal!

Blues motm- Thomas Land quality in net keeping the reds at bay all night! Well played pal!

BALLERS LEAGUE MATCH REPORT

BFT vs St Helens MVF

After the ginger mourinho mark miles decided to do one for this game it was up to simourinho to step in and take charge of this one for a one of special and what a game it was a really good physically game of football and one our lads did not shy away from

Now usually BFT start rather slowly but for this one we came out of the blocks flying some great passing football down the right hand side saw Gavin Luke Annetts break free and put a peach of a ball for the fox in the box Adam Fishwick to poke away 2 mins gone BFT 1-0 up any thoughts of this being an easy day at the office though we quickly shot down St Helens stepped into gear and showed they are good strong physical football team something our lads where more than happy to go head to head with the first 30 mins of football from our lads was liquid kept the ball on the ground moved the opposition around and probably should have had more than 1 within this time then came the set back a goal out of nothing for st Helen’s and it was game on in all fairness it was a game that we was always in control of but a game that st Helen’s was always in due to their physicality think the 1st half finished 1-1 onto the second half and BFT managed to find an end product to the chances they where creating with further goals added from James Smith x2 one from the spot and a great goal after some good team play in the middle Jack Ward got himself up and running for the ballers league with a classy turn and finish to put us 3-2 up and then missed an absolute sitter after some great play down the wing again from smithy then Liam Johnson rounded up the scoring nipping in with a header after a peach of a cross from Barry Fellowes

Game ended 5-3 to us a result which we thoroughly deserved

Chad Bertram now Chad will say he didn’t really play well today but I beg to differ against a physical team like St Helens he’s exactly the type of player you want on the pitch he matches that physicality and managed to break up their play keep things calm and our attacks moving in the right direction always there to help out defensively too

Gav Annetts he’s been on fire for a few weeks now and every game he just gets better and better an absolute work horse in the midfield didn’t stop all game broke up play won tackles and duels and got 2 assists unreal performance again today

Captains man of the match

Corey Wright top performance from Corey today stood up to the physical challenge kept working extremely hard in the middle of the pitch winning the ball back at every available opportunity some great tracking back he will sleep tonight because he’s put some shift in today quality in the middle

You will be glad to know mark will be back to take the next game in the Ballers league but form me it was an absolute privilege to manage the team today 2 games 6 points up the BFT 🧡🖤
