Another cricket season comes to an end tomorrow.

Our 1st XI travel to Burnhope needing a win or maximum (10) bonus points to win promotion to division 2 at the first attempt.

The 2nd XI entertain Crook 2nd XI needing a win to avoid possible relegation to division 5.

Both games start at 1pm - get yerselves along and cheer the lads on.....

Kimblesworth 2nd XI have resigned from Div 4 with immediate effect.

Coundon 1st team are playing at home v Ryhope tomorrow - come along and give us your support 🏏🏏

Tonight's DNECL midweek game v Brandon (away) has been cancelled due to withdrawal of Brandon midweek team from the midweek league.

Our next game is at home tomorrow night (Fri Jul 24th) Coundon II v Durham City II in RH West Trophy 1/4 Final.

Tonight's midweek league game v Crook III has been called off due to heavy rain.

It's a better forecast tomorrow so hopefully our Arthur Lumley Cup tie at home to Durham City III will go ahead

The club are saddened to hear of the recent passing of former player and club official Anthony (Tony) Johns - aged 78.

Tony played for the club in the 1970's and 80's and was first team captain and wicketkeeper for many of those years.

Tony's enthusiasm, dedication and wit will long be remembered by all those who played alongside him.

Tony's funeral takes place on Tuesday June 16th, 10 30am at Wear Valley Crematorium then after at Mainsforth Cricket Club.

Donations in Tony's memory can be made to The Stroke Association and Alzheimers Research UK.
