Real mates look out for each other π
Swim:ED pupils have been learning the RLSS UK Be a Mate message: speak up if a friend is about to take a risk near water.
You could say:
π£ βLetβs stay together.β
π£ βThat doesnβt look safe.β
π£ βLetβs get help.β
π£ βDonβt go in.β
And remember: in an emergency, call 999.
A few words could make a big difference.

Team talk before water safety practice π
Swim:ED pupils have been learning why staying together matters around water.
Whether youβre at the pool, beach, river, lake or canal, itβs always safer to stay with your group, keep an eye on each other and get help quickly if something doesnβt feel right.
And if you ever get into trouble in the water, remember to float and call for help.
Water safety is something we learn together.
