π The FA Walking Cup 2026
Taking part in the official national walking football cup competition, organised by The FA, is always a prestigious occasion. After reaching the final at St George's Park in 2025, we were determined to have another crack at it.
This year we entered two teams: an experienced Over 40s squad and an Over 50s side made up of a fantastic mix of experienced and new players.
Our Over 50s competed in a tournament against established Over 40s teams from the current league. They battled brilliantly throughout the morning, earning a well-deserved draw alongside some respectable defeats in a highly competitive group. However, none of those results counted towards qualification. After six games in the heat, it all came down to one winner-takes-all match against Southend. A superb strike from Fleur (who only seems to score worldies!) earned us a 1-1 draw and sent the game to penalties. It was a cruel way to bow out, and we narrowly missed out on a place in the regional finals. Every player should be incredibly proud of their efforts today.
Our Over 40s progressed all the way to the final where, in a repeat of the EWWFL Cup Final, they faced the in-form Beacon Hill. After a tense 0-0 draw, the match also went to penalties. With some spot kicks that Harry Kane would have been proud of, it all came down to the final penalty. Up stepped Tanya, who produced a fantastic save to seal the victory!
The road to St George's Park is still alive... πβ½
A huge congratulations to both teams on a brilliant day of football.
Finally, thank you to everyone who came along to support us, especially our Billericay squad and the gents who made the journey to cheer us on. Your support means everything. Thank you to County FA and the refs for a great morning of football!

EWWFL Cup & Plate Finals Day 2026
The EWWFL Cup & Plate Finals Day was played in scorching conditions at Great Baddow, with players, officials and supporters all battling the heat throughout an action-packed day of football.
Our Blues side enjoyed another strong tournament, finishing second in their group to secure a place in the semi-finals. After a hard-fought contest, they were narrowly beaten on penalties by an in-form Beacon Hill side, who went on to lift the Cup later in the day. Congratulations to Beacon Hill Women's Red on becoming the 2026 EWWFL Cup champions.
For the Reds, the group stage seedings provided some tough tests and new challenges in their debut season. Despite facing strong opposition throughout the day, they competed brilliantly and reached the quarter-finals, where they eventually lost out to Premiership side Valley Green. The Reds have been a fantastic addition to the club this season, and their team spirit, togetherness and commitment truly represent everything Billericay Town Women is about. There were some impressive performances and plenty of positive football on display.
The Whites experienced a mixed group stage campaign in the intense heat but showed great resilience to earn a place in the Plate competition. They progressed through the quarter-finals before an incredibly tense semi-final which was decided by penalties. Goalkeeper Lisa produced several crucial saves during the shootout, while Julia confidently converted her penalty to send the Whites into the final against Valley Green.
The final saw a composed and professional performance from the Whites. Two goals from the in-form Rachel secured victory and ensured the EWWFL Plate trophy would be returning home once again. The win also made the Whites back-to-back Plate champions β a fantastic achievement for the team.
A special congratulations goes to our Cup Day Players of the Week:
β Cheron Robinson
β Lisa Hart
β Becca
Finally, a huge thank you to all of the supporters who came along to cheer the teams on, the referees who officiated throughout the day, the EWWFL organisers, and everyone who helped make the event such a success despite the challenging temperatures.
We now look ahead to the final matchday of the season and can't wait to finish another fantastic EWWFL campaign on a high.

A lovely day at the Tiptree Charity Cup Walking Football Tournament in support of The Robin Cancer Trust, where we represented Billericay Town. β½π
The team showed great effort throughout, with lots of encouragement, teamwork and some really good balls played. Itβs always such a nice tournament to attend and today was no different with great weather, a relaxed picnic-style atmosphere and plenty of football.
We had a couple of draws and losses along the way, but finished the day with a win and came 3rd overall with an excellent full squad performance.
Thank you to the hosts Beacon Hill, a fantastic day was had by all at this well run and enjoyable tournament!
Well done team! πβ½

π§οΈβ½ The rain certainly didn't dampen our spirits yesterday!
It was another fantastic day for the Billericay women's teams, with strong performances across the board.
π The Blues continue to hold top spot in their league.
π€ The Whites also remain at the summit of theirs.
With just one matchday remaining, both teams have put themselves in a great position. Now it all comes down to the final round of fixtures and securing the points needed to finish the job.
β€οΈ The Reds were once again impressive, continuing to show their quality in their first competitive season in the EWWFL. Their progress and performances this season have been a credit to everyone involved.
One final push to go. Good luck to all three teams as they head into the business end of the season! π

What a fantastic few days in Holland at the Almelo City Cup - 10th Anniversary, hosted at the impressive Heracles Football Club.
Billericay Town Walking Football Club were proud to be part of a truly international event, joining teams from Belgium, Poland and, of course, our wonderful Dutch hosts, alongside many other clubs from across Europe.
The tournament began with a memorable opening ceremony, with captains proudly carrying their club flags onto the pitch β the perfect start to what would become an unforgettable 2 days. From start to finish, the organisation was outstanding and a credit to everyone involved.
Billericay Ladies, who were competing in this tournament for the very first time - they showed incredible determination, resilience and team spirit throughout, battling in every game and achieving a fantastic 5th-place finish out of 16 teams. An amazing achievement and one every single player should be proud of.
But this trip was about much more than football. With a united group of men and women, supported by some fantastic partners, we created memories both on and off the pitch. We shared meals together, all 32 of us, enjoyed a lots of drinks, sang plenty of songs and laughed our way through a brilliant few days.
We travelled to Almelo as a group, but we returned home as something even stronger β closer friends, better teammates and an even tighter Billericay family.
As they say, Medals and trophies collect dust; memories live with us forever!
Thank you to everyone who made the trip so special. Here's to the next adventure! πβ½
