Man Of The Match Robbo 🤝
Holbrook travelled to Eastwood for our second game of the season.
The first half was end-to-end with both sides creating chances, but Eastwood looked the stronger side and took a 0–1 lead into half-time.
Unfortunately, we came out for the second half looking like we were still in the changing rooms. Eastwood were first to everything, moved the ball around well and took their chances when they came.
With 10 minutes to go and the score at 0–3, Robbo, who never stopped running all game, picked the ball up, took on two players and set Theo up to score his first goal of the season. 1–3, and a great moment for Theo.
Eastwood then took advantage of an opening at the back and scored a last-minute goal to make it 1–4.
Despite the result, we can still be proud of the lads. This league was never going to be easy, and we knew that coming into it. We’ll take the positives, work on the areas that need improving in training and get feedback from the players to hear their thoughts and make sure we continue moving forward together.
Heads up, lads. We go again. 💪⚽
