West Belfast Coolers

Busy oul weekend for the Coolers…..
…first we had Olivia Byrne running in the Rathmullan Festival 5k on Friday evening, then Rab DRab DuffyCiaran McGeough running in KilclKilclief Ben Dearg GACthis morning. Hot, sunny days for both!

In between, there were parkruns on the beach, the guys training for Budapest Half Marathon, Copenhagen Half Marathon as well as ‘just because we can’ miles cos when ya get lost 5k becomes 7k!! 😉

Is FOMO for real or is the peer pressure strong?!
Not to be outdone, there was photographic evidence of wee feet running in Portugal, Tenerife, USA and Japan!! 😆

Well done folks, a cracking weekend for everyone!

With a distance for everyone - 5k, 10k and Half marathon the Great Rossa Run is becoming a firm favourite in the Cooler’s calendar!!
There were PBs, the cutest dog, sore legs, tired feet and happy faces…..and v full bellies after the best spread ever!!

Thank you to our wee cheerleader Bernie for great pics & videos and to the event organisers, marshalls and all the volunteers for a wonderful day.

Falls parkrun is cancelled from 25th July until 22nd August. Time for some tourism…. 🤩

Summer closures

Today we had one Cooler participate in the innagural Rathlin Run Lighthouse Challenge….16 miles no less and Louise’s longest distance to date…..and she smashed it!!

When asked how it was she replied ‘really tough but a great run’
Now that makes us wonder who’s up for taking it on next year?!
Many congratulations to you Louise, hope that pint hit the spot!!
