Cavehill bowls

Cavehill Bowling Club are extremely saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Damien Bintley, the NIPGL Hon league Secretary and club mate of our neighbours Salisbury Bowling Club.
Damien was an efficient administrator, in what was a difficult job but yet made it appear seamless. A true gentleman who never passed you by, who made time for everyone. And what is more he helped take bowls into the 21st century.
A huge loss to Irish bowls!
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and club mates at this difficult time!

Tonight, Cavehill continue their week of away visits, travelling to CI Knock in East Belfast in R2 of the NIPGL Junior Cup.
This will be a difficult visit on the outdoor carpet (non grass), with many players not familiar with it.
Wishing all players well and to enjoy the experience. Try your best!

Afternoon all, reminder that this week is our open week for those wanting to have a go at a different hobby/sport or simply want to get a bit of light exercise outdoors. Come along from 6.30 tonight or Thursday and see what you make of it. Entrance via North Circular Road Entrance.

Ever thought about 'trying out' a new summer hobby or sport. Now is your chance, next Monday and Thursday we will be hosting an open week from 6.30-8.30pm.
All equipment is provided along with tuition. Just wear flat shoes.
Come experience the fun and make new friends. We will be delighted to see you!

A break from league action today as we take on Willowfield A in the second round of the Irish Junior Cup. This will be a tough test against a very strong side, sitting 5th in Division 3, in heavy wet conditions! Hopefully the rain stops at least as the afternoon goes on, even if no sunshine! Ps its fantastic to field 16 players on a Saturday once more. Thanks to all members for taking part today.

We regret to announce the passing of our long time member Shelia Mercer, who was held in high regard at Cavehill
Although heavy-hearted at her loss we will all hold very fond memories of Shelia. Deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
