Our very own Heather! 💕

Heather joined us here at Purpose just over a year ago, and she is the perfect example of why we’re always banging on about consistency — because it really does pay off. 👏

Heather came to us with a strong background in strength training and, more importantly, a real understanding of the importance of staying strong for everyday life and the years ahead.

She’s just turned 60 and is every bit as strong as some of our younger members — proof that strength training really is strength for life. 🏋🏼‍♀️

If you come to Purpose, you’ll probably find Heather in our 9:30 class, chatting away as she trains, or more recently, at our Saturday morning Team Sweat, where she’s become a regular — usually trying to calculate exactly how many reps she should be doing. 🤪💦

Heather is an absolute legend, and we’ve loved having her as part of the Purpose family over the past year. We’re looking forward to many more years of training, chatting and getting stronger together. 🥰

Here’s a few of our older lads sharing how training has impacted their lives since joining us over 2½ years ago.

Training together 1–2 times a week has become about so much more than exercise. It’s strength, routine, friendship, plenty of laughs, and of course, the post-workout coffee.

A few lessons we can all take from them:
• You’re never too old to start.
• Consistency beats perfection.
• Training is better when you do it together.

Progress doesn’t come from constantly changing your program. It comes from showing up, staying consistent, and progressively challenging yourself over time.

Too many people quit a plan before it has a chance to work. They jump to the next workout, the next diet, or the next “SECRET” because they expect instant results.

The truth? The strongest physiques are built on the basics:
• Consistency
• Progressive overload
• Consistency
• Carbs
• Patience

Progressive overload doesn’t mean going all-out every session. Give your body a reason to adapt—adding a rep, increasing the load , nailing form, Small improvements, repeated week after week.

Trust the process. ✨
Track your lifts. 💪
Celebrate the small wins. 🥳
This is the answer 🔑

Exactly what we do at Purpose. 🤝

Remember: the best program isn’t the newest one—it’s the one you stick to.

Member of the Month – May: James 🤝

James joined us at the very start of the year and has consistently trained three times a week ever since. His strength has improved massively, and as a dad of two young girls, he’s noticed a huge difference in his ability to run around and keep up with them 🤪👑

What’s been most impressive is the way James has fully bought into the Purpose way of training—showing up, staying consistent, being open to learning, and making positive lifestyle changes to better support his family life.

We can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings for James. 💪

Member of the Month – June: Holly 🤝

Holly has been part of the Purpose family for the past 3 years. As a busy mum of two, she always makes time for her training, no matter what life throws at her.

Over the years, Holly has gone from strength to strength (literally! 💪). She turns up, puts in the work without complaint, and has completely earned the incredible changes she’s seen in both her strength and physique through her consistency week after week.

Holly is a brilliant example of what showing up consistently can achieve.

Win the morning, and you win the day. 💪

I see it all the time—people roll out of bed, skip hydration jump straight into a workout expecting big results.

You don’t need an extreme 5am routine . Start small. Set your alarm 20 minutes earlier, drink some water, get your body moving, and take a few moments for yourself.

Those small, consistent habits create more energy, better focus, and improved performance—not just in the gym, but in life.

My morning routine is simple, but it sets me up to show up at my best every day. 🤝

What does your morning routine look like? 👇
