Another first for three of the boys today — their first home game of 9s on the grass! ⚽️

They adapted brilliantly and played some really good football in a closely fought game.

Well done to every single one of them today. From the sweeper keeper right through the team, everyone was solid and put in a great shift. 👏

On another day we could have scored a few more, but overall it was a really positive performance with plenty of things to take away and work on. 💪

GK Logan captained the team today against Whitburn FC🧤🔥 — he kept the score down with some brilliant saves, and his distribution and handling were superb.

Reds put in a big shift 💪. We had some good chances going forward, but on a big pitch we struggled at times and Whitburn were more aggressive keeping possession.

Still loads of positives — the boys kept working, kept trying to play, and never hid🔴⚽️. Back 3 just need to step out quicker and clear their lines, and that’ll come.

Great effort today, lads — loads of positives and plenty to build on. On to the next one 🔴⚽️💪.

⚽️ Alan McGillivray Football Festival 2026! ⚽️

A big well done to these superstars today, five games played and they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. 💪 The effort, teamwork, attitude and football they showed today were brilliant to watch. Getting used to the grass will take time but the early signs for 9-a-side are looking positive!

Lots of great football, some good goals, some excellent defending and, most importantly, the boys enjoyed themselves and supported each other throughout. 🔴⚽️

A massive thank you to all the parents for getting the boys there early and standing on the sidelines in the early morning rain! 🌧️ Thankfully, it brightened up!

Really proud of every one of them — they gave it everything across all five games and represented the team brilliantly.

🌞 On a sunny summer Sunday, Bathgate made the short trip to Polbeth for an away pre‑season friendly — and the boys delivered a performance full of energy, quality, and character. Polbeth were very physical and went long ball at every opportunity, but Bathgate stayed calm, played through the thirds, and played good football throughout.

🧱 Cammy R captained the side superbly on his return from injury since March.

🧤 Logan produced spectacular saves that kept us right in the game.

⚡ Denzel and Aleksander made brilliant driving runs that stretched Polbeth and created chances.

🎯 Cammy N, Cael, and Blair were all very unlucky not to score.

💪 In midfield, Freddie and Sandy were solid — winning battles, keeping the ball moving, and controlling spells of the game.

🔴 Keir, Matthew, Harris M, and Cammy R all put in strong, disciplined performances across the pitch.

❤️ Very proud of every single one of them.

A short trip out to Armadale in the sunshine this morning for these lads. ☀️⚽

As always, they were right up for the game and never stopped working, even when it got a bit scrappy at times. Plenty of good football played, some really solid defending at times, some positives to take from the performance.

The effort, attitude and teamwork from the boys continues to impress every week and we will continue to work hard at training 👏💪
