Grace joined us from the U9s group for some extra training and absolutely smashed her first session with the crazy bunch! 😂⚽🔥

She got stuck straight in, wasn’t afraid of a challenge and showed some brilliant effort throughout the session. 💪👏 She was also unlucky not to find the back of the net a few times!

And that’s a wrap on pre-season! 🎬⚽️ This was our final friendly before we kick off the new season, and what a way to finish it! ❤️

The Wellers started a little slowly, taking the lead before quickly getting penned back and seeing Elsecar level things up. Then something just seemed to twig… and suddenly the Wellers woke up! 💥⚽

From there, things started to click, with some brilliant passing, movement and some cracking goals on show. 🔥 The Elsecar keeper also made some great saves throughout the game and showed some really good form between the sticks. 🧤👏

Jemima was brilliant in training, listening carefully, taking everything on board and then putting it into action on the pitch. 👏⚽

Another brilliant morning of football as we welcomed Ridgeway Lionesses to Wombwell Town for a friendly. A great game against a really good team, with both sides putting on a fantastic display! 👏⚽

Isla got us off to the perfect start with an early goal, before Ridgeway started to put us under pressure and penned us in for a spell. The girls had to work hard and defend as a team, but then Mia sprang to life, hitting two fantastic goals to turn the momentum back our way! 🔥⚽⚽

Ivy-Mae also got herself on the scoresheet, rounding off another great team performance. There was some brilliant passing and movement on display again today, showing the girls are really putting what they learn in training into practice. 👏❤️

What a performance from the Wellers today! The girls came flying out of the blocks hungry, showing fantastic passing, movement and confidence and really showcasing what they’ve been learning in training. 👏⚽🔥

There was some brilliant football on display, with one goal in particular standing out. Three passes and straight into the back of the net! ⚽️ Poppy played a fantastic ball off to Effy, who showed great vision to find Isla, and Isla calmly put it away. A brilliant team goal from start to finish! 👌❤️

The game was played in great spirit, with goals aplenty and plenty of attacking football from both sides.

Every single girl out there today showed just how much they wanted to play their football their way. The effort, passing, movement and determination were fantastic, but most importantly, there were huge smiles on their faces throughout! 😁❤️⚽

A massive thank you to Mosborough Girls U9’s for a brilliant friendly and for the lovely gesture after the game. The girls all came together to celebrate their team sponsor, Be More Elemie, with Mosborough donating a wristband to each of our girls. 🤝❤️
