We faced Bellfield Community Football Club 2013 @ Queen Margaret Academy. Boswell started the game brightly creating a couple of early chances but were unable to open the scoring. Bellfield broke down the park well to win a corner which would lead to them making it 1-0 early on, that never put Boswell down & we continued to create chance after chance but were still unable to find the net,Half time 0-1.

2nd half Boswell again started brightly however Bellfield looked dangerous on the counter attack & ended up taking a 0-2 lead.The 2nd goal effected us more than we’d have liked & not long after a great strike made it 0-3. Boswell continued to try & break the Bellfield defence open eventually a corner which the ball broke off a defender into his own net 1-3, with 10 mins of play left Boswell had 1v1 however the Bellfield goalkeeper pulled off a great save to deny us any hope of getting anything from the match Full Time 1-3.

AYFL Match Day 1

Today we open up our 26/27 league campaign at home to Bellfield 2013s.
Our opponents got off to a flyer of a start in the league last week & we have faced each other multiple times last season with every match being a great contest & very competitive we expect today to be no different.

We haven’t had the pre season we’d have liked however it’s time to focus on what really matters the league campaign.

A very busy day finished off with both Ayr Boswell 2013s & whitletts Vics 2013s team sessions. Both teams worked extremely hard and ensured they all get the most out of these sessions.

Again, extremely grateful to work with these clubs and know how much these sessions help. Exactly the sort of thing I needed when playing with local boys clubs at their age and can see how much of a difference these make.

Well done both teams. Let’s go young team 🖤⚽️
