Five years since the passing of Marlborough and Ivanhoe Legend Eric Avins and his memory lives strong. What a great turnout today under different circumstances. No football, just people wishing to remember and respect.

This was obviously a carlsberg opening league day for our senior men's teams.
First team away to newly promoted Netherseal and ran out comfortable 4-1 winners. It would of been ten had it not been for the Netherseal goalie playing like Gordan Banks.
And wow what an introduction to senior football for our new reserves who simply cruised to a 12-2 victory.
A great start but a long way to go 💛🖤

Everyone at Marlborough Rovers is saddened to hear of the passing of Alan Hancock who managed a team at Marlborough for many years.
Our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.
Taken far too soon.
