🔵U11s & U13s End of Season Awards🔵
Another Junior Cricket season comes to an end and it's certainly one to remember.

This year, 35 children represented the club across our U11 and U13 age groups, and it has been fantastic to watch them develop and grow in confidence throughout the Summer......and what a Summer it has been!!

🏏 U11s played 9 matches — 5 league and 4 cup — finishing with 7 wins, 1 tie and 1 defeat, including a fantastic cup run that took them all the way to the Development Cup final.

🏏 U13s also played 9 matches and finished the season with a perfect 9 wins from 9, culminating in 2 x Cup Final victories — an incredible achievement!

While the focus will always be on enjoyment and development, it’s impossible to overlook the results on the field this Summer.

Both age groups have had an incredibly successful season, and more importantly, saw a brilliant group of young cricketers continue to cricketing journey in the right direction.

Next up in the Armagh Cricket Club Fly Boy Armagh man of the match awards is none other than 3rd XI batsman Noah Archer.

Earlier in the season, Noah hit a career best 49 not out in the first of 2 Sunday T20 games against Dundrum CC. It was a bitter sweet moment as Noah narrowly missed out on his maiden half century.

However next game up he smashed his new personal best score with a fabulous 85 not out in a magnificent display of aggressive batting. Noah’s batting in both games certainly set up two back to back victories for the 3rd XI. Well batted Noah, a fully deserved recipient.

Here’s the weekend Armagh Cricket Club lotto results. This week the numbers drawn were quite high, 14-18-19-21, and as a result there were no jackpot winners, or even any tickets that matched 3 numbers.

The jackpot rolls on to £1770 next week. As always tickets are available from the pavilion bar, or any committee member and keenly priced at £1 per ticket.

Just one senior result this weekend, as the 1sts match against Templepatrick was abandoned due to the rain, and the 2nds opponents unable to field a team.

The 5ths recorded a fine win at the Lawn on Friday evening. Matthew Kerr and Keith Wilson took 2 wickets each in an a pleasing Armagh bowling and fielding performance. In reply, Adam Wilson (64) and Ryan Hetherington (40) ensured the Armagh win. Well done to the 5th XI!

🔵U11s & U13s End of Season🔵
With the nights closing in and children back at school, it can only mean one thing.......the end of the Summer is fast approaching and with it, so too the end of the cricket season 😢.....

....and so what better way to say "goodbye" to season 2026 than to hold the competition of competitions.......U11s and U13s parents vs children.

An opportunity to say thank you to all the parents for their support and taxi services during the season, this inaugural event promised to be a fun and entertaining affair.......

.....or so so we thought! 😂

Who knew just how much of a competitive beast was lurking within some of our parents?! Clearly.....with pride and bragging rights up for grabs.......it's safe to say, the children weren't the only ones taking this seriously........the parents had clearly come to play!! 😁

As it turns out, the U11s and U13s well honed skills saw them over their respective lines (with perhaps even a few questionable umpiring decisions 🤔🫣).....better luck next year parents!!

Joking aside, it was great to see so many on The Mall basking in the late, August sunshine, enjoying a drink or two and getting involved in the matches themselves. A thoroughly enjoyable, social event.......and hopefully an annual one too.

For now, all that remains is our U11s and U13s Awards Ceremony which will be held at the club on Monday 31st August, 19:00.

Here’s the latest in our ongoing Armagh Cricket Club Fly Boy Pizza man of the match awards.

Last week our under 13 team won two finals in two days. At the centre of the first victory, was young Tom Kindred who had the amazing bowling figures of 4 overs, 3 maidens, 5 wickets for 5 runs. (YES 5 WICKETS!). Well done Tom and the under 13 squad and coaches, on a great couple of days for the team.
