Some people leave a mark that goes far beyond the photos they take.

Paul McIlwaine wasn’t just a photographer he was a familiar face on the sidelines, rain or shine, capturing the moments that tell the story of our sport. From game days to team headshots, he gave his time, talent, and passion to help showcase American football in Ireland.

His images didn’t just freeze moments in time; they captured the heart of our club and our community.

Paul will be sorely missed by everyone at the County Antrim Stags, and by so many across the American Football Ireland community whose lives he touched through his kindness, generosity, and incredible work.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

The Antrim stags are proud to announce we’re supporting the Sealand Seahawks pineapple movement within our club.

Mental health means a lot to us, not just our players, coaches and staff, but also anyone else we come into contact.

We know we’re not trained professionals, but research shows that just having someone to talk to can massively reduce the likelihood of someone taking their own life and having a simple method to contact people breaks down a major barrier in people not having the vocabulary to say, “I need help.”
