What a day for a game of football ☀️⚽️

Today we played Castletown 2013s and the boys were at it from the get go. Having majority of the ball very early on we created 3/4 really good chances but couldn’t put the ball in the net.

After some confusion with the ref the boys switched off and Castletown managed to catch us off guard and broke through to make it 1-0. Just before half time we managed to level the score with Daniel breaking down the left wing and tucking the ball away nicely.

2nd half began a couple changes made at half time Annan flew out the blocks getting 3 quick fire goals. 2 cracking finishes from William Cairns and a 25 yard screamer from Kaydan Robison put us 4-1 up. William completed his hat trick when the ball fell to him inside the box and fired it home to make it 5-1. Castletown then grabbed a consolation goal to make it 5-2 in the last few minutes.

Super proud of the whole team today especially playing against a team a year up and that’s already had a season at 11 aside 👏🏻

Today’s Player of the Match was William Cairns. Took all 3 of his goals extremely well and continually pressed the defence and got his rewards for it

Another big test as we take on Castletown U13s ⚽️

Will do the boys a world of good playing against a team a year up and Castletown having nearly a years experience in 11 aside should prove a tough test 💪🏼

Football under the lights ⚽️

We welcomed Cumbria Sports Academy to Galabank and the boys didn’t disappoint 🔥

Playing some really fluid football at times the boys are starting to look abit more comfortable adjusting to 11 aside. Annan started on the front foot and continued throughout. Dominating the game and controlling the possession for majority of the game and ran out well deserved winners 👏🏻

Tonight’s Player of The Match was Louie Moffat. Was at it from the 1st whistle with a commanding defensive performance 👏🏻

Next up we welcome Cumbria Sports Academy to Galabank on Tuesday night ⚽️

Early start this morning at the Warwick Wanderers Tournament ⚽️

After topping the group and managing to make to the quarterfinals it wasn’t to be as we were beaten 1-0 by the eventual winners Carlisle Border Reivers 👏🏻

Grand morning of football and the sun managed to keep his hat on for majority of the day. Shout out to the parents for the early rise. Much appreciated as always

We’re off across the border this weekend for the highly anticipated Warwick Wanderers Festival.

If last year was anything to go by it should be a cracker and hopefully we manage to go deep into the competition 🏆⚽️

Back to winning ways today for the boys.

After a few hard games and defeats the boys bounced back with a perfect performance. Football on display is a lot more like us. Dominated a lot of possession for majority of the game and it showed in the chances we created.

Goals coming from Kaydan Robison and an own goal. Could’ve scored a few more if it wasn’t for Glenaftons goalkeeper who pulled off some terrific saves.
