It wasn't what we came for, but a great time had by all! Tough final against Team Weird, but we won the group stage unbeaten, so we'll take it... Great company, we'll be back next year!

You don't need to be an established walking rugby club to come join us! This is just a casual day of fun in the community, open to anybody! You don't even have to have played rugby before to learn the rules, just get seven people together and come along for a fun day!
Any entries must be confirmed by 10am on Wednesday 1st July.
There will be a mix of established Walking Rugby Teams, including the Ammanford Old Boars, a few teams from local organisations and several other Ammanford RFC 'internal' teams (eg Juniors parents/coaches, Vixens, 1st XV, etc).
Can I ask that any interested parties register their intent formally with payment (*unless already arranged with me) to the following account:
Ammanford Old Boars Walking Rugby
S/C: 30-99-50
Acc: 59394163
....and email me at [email protected] or text me on 07939115977 to say payment has been made.
The fee is £50 for teams up to 10 and an additional £5 for extra players.
That includes a food voucher redeemable at our pitchside Burger Cabin.
If any team wants to enter an additional team we are happy to accommodate that.
Following on from the theme of recent Festivals, we will not be keeping scores in the games, but we will be making awards for 'Fair Play Player' and 'Fair Play Team' at the end of the Festival.
Games will be 8 minutes long with 2 mins to change over between games.
Typically teams will play a game, rest during the next game period, play again, rest again, etc.
Occasionally teams may be required to play two games back to back.
We will also require each team to nominate a Referee from within their ranks, to Referee other teams games.
The intention is to run upto 4 pitches on our main pitch, so there will be plenty of space around the perimeter and on the adjacent Junior Pitch for you all to 'set up camp' should you wish to bring a Gazebo or similar.

It was a cold one last night, but the Old Boars were out on the top pitch too! Not sure if the fog was naturally occuring or just from all our heavy breathing! 🤣
Thanks to Precision Sports Photography for the awesome picture!
Ammanford RFC - Clwb Rygbi Rhydaman out training on a fresh and foggy thursday night, with Betws RFC in the background.
