Altofts Juniors AFC is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable assistant coach to join our fantastic team! U13s

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, loves football and would like to help young players develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game.

You don’t need to have coaching qualifications already—the club will support you throughout and cover the cost of your:

🔴DBS check
⚫️ Safeguarding training
🔴 FA First Aid course
⚫️ Relevant coaching qualifications

You’ll also receive plenty of support from the team’s lead coach and the Altofts Juniors committee.

A huge thank you to Altofts AFC Women for inviting our Wildcats to be mascots for their first game of the season on Sunday.

The girls had a brilliant time walking out with the players, cheering from the sidelines and experiencing the excitement of an FA Cup match. It was made even more memorable by a thrilling penalty shootout victory against Cleethorpes!

It was wonderful for our young players to meet the Ladies’ team and see where their own football journey could take them in the future. Thank you to everyone who made them feel so welcome and gave them such a special experience.

Our Wildcats sessions are open to girls aged 5–11 and take place every Friday from 6–7pm. Please message us if you would like more information or want to come along and join the fun!

Our annual fundraising memorial day is fast approaching. Sunday 30th August.

If any of you can donate any items such as toys, teddys, books, toiletries, bottles pop or alcohol. Or higher end prizes for our raffle it would be much appreciated.
They can be handed to bar staff at training over the next two Fridays, or dropped off with someone affiliated with the club.

Thank you to everyone who has donated items so far, the response has been overwhelming. You’re all so generous and i can see how much you believe in the future of our club.

We are running a bake stall, so if you are handy in the kitchen, i would love to see some bakes handed in the day before, if not, or you don’t have the time but want to help and you want to buy bakes, that is absolutely fine. If you DM me, i can give you my address so that we can set that up ahead of the day.

I hope you can all make it, if the weathers great it will be a brilliant day full of sun, games, music, fun, and for the adults, 🍺

A brilliant morning of football at Altofts Juniors today as we welcomed 3 teams for a pre-season round of friendlies! 🔴⚽️
The boys had plenty of football, with lots of games, plenty of touches and some great opportunities to put into practice what we’ve been working on in training. 💪
Great to see the lads enjoying themselves, competing, trying things and, most importantly, playing football together. There were some really good moments of passing, movement, teamwork and individual skill throughout the morning. 👌🔥
A big thank you to both Castleford Town teams and Thorpe Blues for coming along and making it a great morning. 👏 And a massive thank you to all the parents and coaches for their support as always.
Pre-season is all about getting the boys ready for the new season, and mornings like this are exactly what we need! 💪⚽️
