rees landed a 6lb sea trout after a great battle. well done buddy showing us how its done this year 👏
FINALLY WE HAD AN EVENING WITH NO WIND AND THE BIG BROWNS CAME OUT TO PLAY…….
Yesterday felt like the first favourable evening of the season and the fishing didn’t disappoint-plenty of sedge about and the big browns were slowly patrolling the margins….just a little breaking of the surface gave their location away but not their size.
These precious grown on fish deserve the utmost respect and should be kept in the water as much as possible and the pleasure is in seeing them swim back and on with life.
SUPPLEMENTAL STOCKING OF BROWNIES….check out the condition !!!!
TIME FOR A TOP UP OF BLUES AND BROWNIES……
Some top quality fish being put in today sauced from the very best in the country…. the blues especially are something special, feedback from anglers has been just brilliant to hear.

We as an association could simply not exist without voluntary helpers-thank you to all who contributed in the past, present and hopefully in the future…. Please message us on here if it’s something you would like to take part in 👍 it’s great fun and a means of getting a reduction in permit price as we subtract £5 for every hour of help from the price. Thank you.

A GOOD AND INFORMATIVE WATCH AS USUAL FROM IOLO…..
Everyone seen this I hope? Iolo joined Dr Ben Wilson doing some electro fishing on the Tywi catchment with Iolo quite optimistic to hear that a few Salmon parr had been recorded…. Ben on the other hand seemed quite somber-saying that 🤔I don’t think I’ve seen the great man (Ben) smile 😁….
Ben went on to explain that the main problem with our rapidly depleting migratory fish numbers was an oceanic return % of juvenile migration of only 3% compared with around 30% back in the good old days …..
Now I know it’s a numbers game and we need our rivers producing juveniles at maximum but Ill let you do the maths….
But my question is this, what species of animal can prosper or even survive such odds- a migratory journey of only 3% return? Regardless of whether we improve their juvenile habitat to its absolute best.
